W. T. Brassell

W. T. Brassell, 85, Confederate veteran, died at his home here Sunday and the funeral was held Monday with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. W. Bergin, pastor of the First Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. E. T. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, two sons. Bunyon Brassell of Corsicana and Harry Brassell of Duncan, Ok.; three daughter, Mrs. Oscar Burns and Mrs. George John, both of Corsicana, and Mrs. W. C. Lyons of Los Angeles, Cal.; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. M. Pugh, J. H. Wooley, Dude Ransom, Wilbur Allen, George Jones and Oscar Burns.
