Engineman R. C. Jones, of Frost, was
born August 22, 1896, and educated in the
Frost Schools.
Entered the service of the U. S. Navy April 3, 1917. Trained
at the Great Lakes Naval Station and was sent overseas in March,
1918. Was stationed at Killingholme, England, for nearly a
year, where he served as dispatch rider. Was assigned to the
U. S. S. Arcadia and was still on duty aboard that ship when data
was gathered. |

R. C. JONES DIED AT FROST;FUNERAL
THERE ON TUESDAY
FROST, Jan. 2.—(Spl.)—R. C. (Preacher) Jones, 48, died at his home
here Monday night and funeral services were held from the Baptist
church Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Revs. J. E. Stack, and T. D.
Ellis conducted the rites and
interment was in Frost cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, three children, Maureta, Bobbie and Jane
Jones, all of Frost; four sisters, Mrs. Walter Sanders, Frost; Mrs.
Hershall Keathley, Dallas; Miss Beatrice Jones, Frost; Mrs. Leo
Chamberlain, Dallas; three brothers, J. B. Jones, Frost; Bill Jones,
Huntsville; Raymond Jones, Frost, and other relatives.
Pallbearers were G. L. Haley, P. L. Wooley, E. E. Ombert, Curtis
Patterson, Tom Hooser, Otis Dickson, Robert Freeman and Drew Gillen.
McCormick Funeral Service conducted the arrangements.

Elizabeth "Molly" (Johnson) Jones. He was married to Minnie
Belle Haynes, daughter of Jack Miller Haynes and Josephine May
(Davis) Haynes, on Dec 27, 1923. I have three children listed:
Marita Dean Jones, Robert Cole Jones, and Billie Jane Jones.

Millie Belle (Haynes) Jones was born on Feb 14, 1901 and died Oct
16, 1992 in Ellis County, Texas. She is also buried in the
Frost Cemetery, Frost,
Navarro County, Texas. I have three children listed for them:
Marita Dean Jones, Robert Cole Jones, and Billie Jane Jones.
