FIFTY-FIRST WEDDING DAY DRESDEN COUPLE CELEBRATED

On Saturday, August 14, 1926, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Melton of Dresden, celebrated their fifty-first wedding anniversary with a picnic at the Dresden tabernacle. They were honored by the presence of all their children, grand-children and immediate friends, excepting four grandchildren of Hedley, Texas. A large and appetizing feast was enjoyed by all.

Mr. and Mrs. Melton have trodden this world of joys and sorrows, hand in hand, for fifty-one years, each sharing the other's joys or sorrows. We hope they will spend many more years together, happily. Mr. Melton is seventy-five years old and Mrs. Melton is seventy-three.

They are the parents of a large family of thirteen children. Seven living and six dead. Those living are: Mr. Zack Melton of Raleigh and Messrs. Grover, Ben and Johnnie Melton, all of Dresden; Mrs. L. McMallan of Corsicana, Mrs. R. Mobley of Hedley and Mrs. Britt Turner of Tuscola.

They have twenty-five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Written by FRIENDS.
