Charles Renow McAfee, the second child of Hugh McDuffie and Roseanna (Toal) McAfee, was born in Kemper County Mississippi on 7 November 1847.  He married Cecila Ann Terry, born in 1853, daughter of Charles Richard and Sarah  (Lyle) Terry, on August 1867.  Celia's sister, Margaret Elizabeth Terry, later married Almerine Cicero McAfee, Charles' brother.  Renow McAfee moved to the Emmett area, bordering Hill and Navarro Counties, with the rest of the McAfee clan.  He died on 23 July 1881 and is buried in the Salem Cemetery, Hill Co. 2 1/2 mi. east of Emmett.  Celia appears in later census in Navarro County until her death on 1917.  She is buried next to Charles Renow.

I have a photo which, by the process of elimination, I believe to be Charles Renow McAfee but I can not be completely certain.  I will post it here later with that notation.

Celia Ann (Terry) McAfee 1853 - May 13, 1917 DIES SUDDENLY. Expires While Seated at Breakfast Table Near Frost. Mrs. Celia A. McAfee, aged 65 years, who made her home with her daughter Mrs. Minnie Perlman on North Thirteenth street, died suddenly just as she took her seat at the breakfast table of her son-in-law, Sam Powers, near Emmett, yesterday morning at 6:30. The deceased had been sick two weeks ago while at her home here, but had recovered sufficiently to go visiting, and on Saturday her daughter, Mrs. Perlman, had a letter from her written Friday afternoon in which the deceased said she was getting better every day, hence the announcement of her death by telephone next morning was a great shock to her daughter here. The deceased had lived in Navarro county since 1876, and for nearly twenty years in Corsicana. She was a woman of noble impulses and strong character. Her children and grand children and all other relatives were near and dear to her, and there was no sacrifice she was not willing to make for them. Left a widow thirty years ago with six children, she managed to rear them all to useful man and womanhood and left for them the heritage of a noble life well spent and a character that was umblemished and which they may all cherish in the years that are to come. The remains were interred this afternoon at 3 o’clock by the side of those of her husband at Salem church, ten miles west of Frost near the Hill County line. The funeral was largely attended from the immediate community, from Frost and Blooming Grove and there were a number from Corsicana. The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful, many being sent from Corsicana. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church and the last sad rites were conducted by Rev. Tom Boulware of the Emmett circuit. Surviving the deceased are six children and many grand children. The children are Duane McAfee of Oklahoma, Mrs. Minnie Perlman of Corsicana, Mrs. Joe Williams and Mrs. James Shelton of Frost, Mrs. Sam Williams of Purdon and Mrs. Sam Powers of Emmett and one brother C.
