Tennie Fae passed away Easter Sunday, April 20, 2003 at 5:50 a.m. in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
She was born May 1, 1910 to Jackson J. Lewis and Ida Louise Gowan near Hester Grove in Navarro County, Texas.  She married Johnie Butler Rogers May 8, 1926 in Chatfield, Texas. One son, J. B. Rogers, Jr. was born to them May 12, 1927. After living in Ellis and Navarro Counties the first few years of their marriage, they moved to Crane, Texas in 1933.
Tennie Fae became a hairdresser and owned her own beauty shop in Crane for many years. She enjoyed 4 generations of customers and retired from the business in 1973. She enjoyed collecting bisque birds, antique clocks and souvenir plates after her retirement.

She was a Baptist having been baptized on Nov. 13, 1955. She joined the First Baptist Church in Odessa in April of 1979.

Johnie preceded her in death on Sunday 11 June 1989 and for several years Tennie Fae continued to live in Crane in the same home they had shared at 204 S. Mary St. She later moved to Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico to live with her son, J. B. Rogers, Jr.

Graveside services are Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Monahans Cemetery in Monahans, Texas services provided by Shaffer-Nichols funeral home of Crane.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gerald Wayne Rogers in October of 1995.
She is survived by : one son, J.B. Rogers, Jr. of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico, a granddaughter Tanna Haynes of Crowley, Tx, a step grandson Cody Anderson of Ruidoso Downs, NM, 3 great granddaughters, Misty Rogers Templeton of Kerrville, TX, Ronda Haberrer of San Antonio, Tx, Heather Haynes of Crowley, Tx, 5 great grandsons, Tommy Haynes of Sheboygan, WI, LaWayne Rogers of Nebraska, Shane Rogers of Ohio, Terrence Haynes and J. Bradley Haynes of Crowley, Tx and 5 great great granddaughters and 5 great great grandsons.
