Samuel Walker Wasson and Nannie Bell (Harris) Wasson

Samuel Walker Wasson was born in Mt. Hope, Lawence, AL. on 7 Jan. 1868 to William Josiah Walker and Martha Hart (McCord.) He moved to Texas with his family in 1891 where he met and married Nannie Bell (Harris) on 2 Nov. 1893 in Corsicana. Nannie Bell was born 10 April 1873 in Kentucky.

On 12 June 1895 their first son William Clever Wasson was born followed by a daughter Mildred Beatrice Wasson on 18 Feb. 1900 and another son soon followed, Homer Harold on 2 Feb. 1902. William Clever married Ora Orleans (Miller), Mildred Beatrice married George Thomas Voss and Homer Harold married Alta Fields.

Walker Wasson died at age 37 on 13 April 1905 from Cancer leaving Nannie Bell with 3 small children under the age of 10. Nannie Bell eventually remarried to Mr. J. T. Atkeisson and had two more children; daughter Ina Mae Atkeisson who married Roy J. "Ikey" Upchurch and son Henry Atkeisson who married Seldon ?

Nannie Bell lived 87 years, quietly passing away on New Year's Eve 1960 at the home of her daughter Mildred Voss in Roane, Texas.
