Warren Howard Whitten

Sunday Rites Warren Whitten

Funeral services for W. H. (Warren) Whitten were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Corley Funeral Home. Burial was in Hamilton Cemetery.

A native of Purdon, the farmer-rancher died in Levelland Friday.

Rev. W. H. Bradbury of Dallas, pastor of the Prairie Grove Baptist Church, Emmett, officiated.

Whitten was 72 years old and a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Ward, Levelland; a son, Don Whitten, Dallas; two grandchildren; mother, Mrs. W. H. Whitten, Sr., Corsicana; a brother, J. E. Whitten, Navarro; two sisters, Misses Iva and Ivan Whitten, both of Corsicana, and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Leamon Phillips, Haddix Boldin, Tuck Covington, Grady Turner, Albert Bittner, Sam Peden, Thomas Rogers and Norman Brister.
