RICHMOND CO GEORGIA and its relationship to
WESTERN NAVARRO COUNTY, TEXAS

Research  relating to the Brit Dawson Family, Navarro Co. Texas produced a reference to Green Co. Georgia, one of many counties carved from Richmond Co. Georgia.   The name of Dread Dawson, Brit's father was quickly identified in Richmond Co. Georgia as having been the son of Britton and Sabra Dawson and as having married Elizabeth Patterson.  There was surprise when other names began to surface.   There was a Dawson-Rogers-Roe connection....just as a Rogers married a Dawson and their son married a Miss Roe of Dallas.  But...there were others names that were to be found in Navarro Co. Texas a Century later.   Tracing these families through Georgia...Alabama...Mississippi was interesting as well.
