Nov 8 – Holiday “show and tell”. Members are encouraged to bring your family tradition item/food for everyone’s enjoyment.
 
The list below is a great resource. The list is copied from Dick Eastman's blog site so that you can go directly to the sites from this email.  
Dick Eastman included a couple of tips when using these sites. 
1. Don't just search for a name.
2. Try searching of places that your ancestor lived.....cities, counties.
3. Try searching occupations, schools, etc.
 
I personally have had wonderful luck on www.books.google.com. I have used it in finding "proof" for many different projects. My own genealogy was greatly enhanced when in a blind search I discovered a direct linage to Pocahontas with other linage back into the 1500's.
