This is a photograph of my father's home in Blooming Grove, TX,  showing his mother, Melissa Babers Callicutt and my father, James Madison Callicutt, Jr. This photo was taken around 1905 or so. My grandfather, James Madison Callicutt, died in 1898. He was the older brother of Judge John Spencer Callicutt of Corsicana.

I don't know the street address of this house, which must have been built around 1880, but it was indeed a sturdy structure, as it was still standing in 1986 when my son drove through the town and took another photo of it. A few years later my father drove to Blooming Grove, but the house was gone. It was a simple farm house, but so full of memories. Perhaps another visitor to your gallery will recall the house and know who lived there during its last years.
