The Prairie Blade article is rare, since very few copies of The Prairie Blade are available.  It list many names of the earlier settlers (including my Great Great Grandfather, Isaac Killian) of Navarro County and gives a glimpse into their politics.  In his book about Buck Barry, James K. Greer writes that Buck Barry and others bought The Prairie Blade from Editor Shook for $1,200.  ... Ron Nelson 6/2003
