Special in the Sun.
Kerens, Texas, May 17, --The
annual commencement exercises
for the graduating class of
the Kerens High school were held
in the school auditorium Friday
evening.
Rev. Joe N. Everheart, pastor of
the Kerens Presbyterian church
filled the place of R. T. Ellis of
Fort Worth, Texas, Secretary of
the State Teachers; Association,
in addressing the class. This
change in the program was affected
on account of the heavy rains the
day before, causing a postponement
in the program from Thursday evening.
Rev. Everheart delivered a good talk
which was thoroughly enjoyed by the
good audience as well as the graduates.

On behalf of Mrs. J. J. Hendricks,
Superintendent Hendricks presented
medals to Katherine Whorton and
Agness Bell, senior and junior
expression pupils, the two medals
from Mrs. H. H. Mays, in Music,
were presented to Vulkey Smith
and Garland Inmon, senior and
junior. Lloyd Mabry received
the medal from Mrs. C. I. Coates
in music.
The honor graduate, Pansy Walker,
received the medal which is presented
by Mrs. J. E. Simmons.
