Source: Schedule 2 of the 1850 census, which lists the names of slave owners and the total number of slaves owned. Slaves were not enumerated by name, only by age and sex. This schedule consists of three pages (double-columned), dated September 6, September 16, and October 2. It is very easy to read, except in tow or three instances where the written is very faded. Copied from Microfilm, Fort Worth Public Library, by Barbara Roach Knox.
