S/Sgt. Richard Mays Henry, son of Mrs. Sidney Henry, Corsicana, graduate of Richland Schools.  Entered service, 1940, trained with Air Corps at Ft. Sam Houston.  Served 23 months with forces in E.T.O. Theater, now on duty at Ft. Summer, New Mexico.  Has Unit Citation and other Honors.

Pfc. Harold G. "Tubbie" Henson, husband of the former Miss Odera Christie.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Army Infantry at Camp Robinson and Camp Pickett.  Has served in England, Belgium and Germany.  Has Combat Medal and 3 Battle Stars.

Sgt. George C. Henthorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Henthorn, Frost, husband of the former Miss Clodean Lewis, graduate of Emmett School.  Entered Army Oct. 11, 1941, trained at Camp White, Oregon, Camp Adair, Oregon, wounded in action in Italy, 1944 now on duty in N. Africa.  Has Purple Heart.

Pfc. Ernest R. Herd, son of Mrs. Ellie Herd, formerly of Kerens, husband of the former Miss Opal Mayfield.  Mobilized with National Guard, 1940, re-entered Army Nov. 27, 1942, trained at Camp Bowie and Camp Maxey, now on duty as an M.P. in Germany.

Sgt. Hubert O. Herod, son of Mr. W. S. Herod, husband of the former Miss Sarah Nell Nutt, attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service October, 1942, trained with Air Corps at Tarrant Field, Sheppard Field, Dodge City Army Air Field, now on duty at Del Rio, Texas.

HEWGLEY, GRADY E.
T/Sgt. Grady E. Hewgley, husband of the former Miss Tayrene Tramel, Kerens.  Served in 21st Inf., Hawaii, 1937-1939, graduated Airplane Mech. School, Sheppard Field, 1942.  Sent overseas July, 1943, shot down on 6th Mission over Germany Sept. 6, 1943, held in German Prison Camp until May, 1945.  Served on B-17 as 1st Engineer Gunner.  Awarded Air Medal and other Medals to be awarded later.

 

HICKEY, JAMES A.
S 1/C James A. Hickey, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Hickey, Corsicana.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Navy at Morro bay, San Diego and Oceanside.  Has served in Alaska and in the Aleutian Islands.  Given Medical Discharge, 1945.
