Pfc. Walter V. Knight, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Knight, Corsicana.  Wife, the former Margie Mae Pope.  Graduate of Corbet High School.  Entered the Army in 1943, training at Ft. Lewis, Wash., and Ft. Bragg, N.C. Served in France, Belgium, and Germany where he is now on duty.  Has Good Conduct Medal and Battle Stars.

Capt. John P. Lackey, son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Lackey, Rice, husband of former Mary Agnes Byron.  Graduate of Rice High School.  Commissioned 2nd Lt. on graduation from A. & M. College in 1940.  Trained in Army Signal Corps, at Lexington, Ky., and Ft. Monmouth, N.J.  Served in Italy where he was killed in action Jan. 27, 1945.

Pvt. David Paul Lake, son of Mrs. J. D. Lake of Corsicana.  Attended Corsicana High School.  Entered service Dec. 6, 1944.  Trained at Ft. Sill, Okla., where he is now on duty.

LAMBERT, LEE O.
T/5 Lee O. Lambert, son of the late B. L. and Mrs. Lambert.  Attended New Braunfels Schools.  Mobilized with National Guards, 1940.  Trained with 36th Division at Camp Bowie, Camp Blanding, Camp Edwards.  Served in N. Africa, Sicily, Salerno.  Now enroute home.
LAMBERT, VERNON E.
Pfc. Vernon E. Lambert, son of the late B. L. and Mrs. Lambert.  Attended Cuero Schools.  Entered service 1943.  Trained with Army Engineers at Camp Wolters, Aberdeen, Md.  Now on duty in South Pacific.
LANCASTER, EZEKIEL B.
T/C Ezekiel B. Lancaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Lancaster, Orange, Tex., wife the former Evelyn Hendrick.  Graduated from Kerens High School.  Entered Coast Artillery Aug., 1942.  Trained at Camp Callan and Camp Haan, Calif.  Served in Eng., Germany.  Now on duty at Hot Springs, Ark.  Has two Battle Stars.
LANCASTER, GLYNN G.
S 2/C Glynn G. Lancaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Lancaster, Kerens, wife, the former Alma L. Sebern.  Attended Wilson School.  Entered the Navy Nov., 1944, training at NTS, Chicago, Ill.  Now on duty at Ft. Pierce, Fla.
LAND, ELMER D.
Cpl. Elmer D. Land, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Land, Kerens, husband of former Ruth Smith.  Attended Kerens High School.  Entered the Air Corps, Jan. 16, 1940, training at Randolph Field, Waco Army Flying School, Scott Field, McCook, Nebr., and is now on duty at Harvard, Nebr.

Sgt. Joe E. Land, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Land, Kerens, Tex.  Graduated from Kerens High School.  Entered the Army Feb., 1943, training at Camp Butner, N.C., Scott Field, Ill.  Camp Howze, Tex.  Now on duty on Luzon, P.I.
LANE, VICTOR L.
Pvt. Victor L. Lane, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Lane, Corsicana. Attended School in Corsicana. Entered the Army Medical Corps in 1945, training at Camp Crowder, Mo. Now enroute to the Pacific.

Now on duty in U.S., enroute to Pacific.
