HAROLD J. TEKELL
S/Sgt. Harold J. Tekell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Newton Tekell of Hillsboro and Frost.  Husband of the former Della Jean Blissett.  Entered the U.S. Army Aug. 28, 1944, training at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Ark. and Ft. Medde, Md.  Served in Glasgow, Scotland, France and Belgium.  In France helped redeploy POWs back to Germany and helped our soldiers home.  Received Purple Heart, several Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal, French Croix de Guerre and Combat Inf. Badge.  Discharged in July 1946.

JOE BOB TEKELL
1st Lt. Joe Bob Tekell, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Tekell of Corsicana entered service in March 1943.  Served with the Army Air Corps and received his wings and 2nd Lt. Commission at Williams Fld., Ariz, where he flew P-40s and P-47s.  Discharged in Nov. 1945.  Husband of the former June E. Mattson of Grand Forks, N.D.  Attended Hillsboro Jr. College and Texas A.& M.

Cpl. Chester B. Thomas, son of Mr. C. E. Thomas of Houston formerly of Navarro Co. Husband of the former Louise Richard.  Entered service in 1943, training at U.S. Marine Corps, Camp LeJeune, New Rivers N.C.

Sgt Evans H. Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Thomas.
LEON THOMAS
T/Sgt Leon Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Thomas of Pelham.  Husband of Jessie B. Thomas of Dawson.  Graduate of Pelham High School and Sam Houston College, Austin.  Enlisted in the U.S. Army in Dec. 10, 1942, training in Virginia.  Served in Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, D.C. as a Supervisor of hospital Personnel.  Honorably discharged Oct. 14, 1945.

Pvt. R. D. Thomas, 269 Sig. H.V. Const. Co., son of Mr. Billie Thomas of Rice. Entered service in 1942, training at Camp Hood Texas.  Served in Germany.  Attended Hester Grove School near Rice, Texas.
RICHARD M. THOMAS
Sgt. Richard M. Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Thomas.  Husband of the former Verdell Cox of Corsicana.  Attended school at Wichita Falls.  Entered the Army in 1942, training at Camp Camp Blanding, Fla. and Ft. Francis E. Warren, Wy.  Served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

ROBERT CLAIR THOMAS
M/Sgt. Robert Clair Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Thomas of Pelham.  Enlisted in the U.S. Army in August 1941.  Husband of Grace Baker Thomas.  Graduate of Pelham High School. Army duties carried him to many duties in state and overseas.  Retired from the Army Aug. 31, 1969.  Served his country for 28 years.

S. Elbert Thompson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Thompson of Kerens.  Husband of the former Rosie B. Sheppard.  Attended Good Night School.  Entered the Navy in Oct. 1943, training at U.S.N.T.S., San Diego, Calif.  Served on USS Baltimore, S. Div. Awarded Good Conduct Medal.

Roosevelt Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Thompson of Kerens.  Entered the U.S. Army June 23, 1942, training at Ft. McClennon, Ala. Okla., and San Francisco, Calif. Served in the South Pacific with the 828th Airbase engine attached to the 13th Air Force. Honorably discharged Oct. 25, 1945.

DELMA L. TIPPING
S 1st Class Delma L. Tipping, son of Mrs. Lula Tipping of Blooming Grove. Husband of the former Martha Nell McSpadden. Entered service June 3, 1943, training with the Navy in San Diego, Calif. Served in the Philippines, Marianas, Marshall, New Caledonia, New Guinea, New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific. Member of Escort ship for U.S.A. military supplies.

TAMS Q. TOWNSEND
S/Sgt. Tams Q. Townsend, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Townsend of Roane.  Entered the U.S. Army in 1941, training at Camp Bowie and served with the Inf. with the 36th Div. in the European Theater of Operations.  Seriously wounded and received a Good Conduct Medal and Purple heart.  Received an honorable medical discharge in 1945.

BOB E. TRIPP
Capt. Bob E. Tripp of Corsicana entered service Feb. 16, 1943.  Served in U.S. Army Signal Corps, stationed in North Africa from May 1943 to Jan. 1946. Served as a signal corps officer at a radio relay station near Algiers, N. Africa. Honorably discharged May 21, 1946.

MM 2/C William S. Trusty, son of W. H. and Dessie M. Trusty. Married to Jeanne W Trusty.  Entered service Nov. 18, 1942. Served overseas for 2 years. Received Good Conduct Ribbon, Asiatic Ribbon with 2 Stars, Philippine Ribbon with 1 Star. Returned to States Nov. 1945.

Etered the Army Air Force Jan 28, 1943, training at Barby Riddle Miami, Fla. as an Airplane Elec. Mechanic. Served overseas with B-24 Bombardment Unit in Europe where his unit was actively engaged in blasting Nazi rail and industrial centers, and in Italy. Received the EAME Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge. Honorably discharged Oct 12, 1945.

J. W. TUNE
Pfc. J. W. Tune of Barry enlisted in the U.S. Army in Jan 1942. Training at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, and served in the Pacific Theater for the duration of the war. On returning from the war, he married his wife Hazel, formerly of Memphis, Tenn.
