OBITUARY
Jasper Afton Burke
Jul 4, 1897 - Feb 4, 1977
J. A. Burke
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel for J.
Afton Burke, who died Friday at Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. Eugene Wood will officiate, with burial following at
Oakwood cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. J. Afton Burke of Corsicana; a son, Jack A.
Burke of Dallas; two granddaughters, Miss Susan Burke and Mrs. Kathryn Zack both
of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Carney of Corsicana and Mrs. Glenn Rodgers
of Fort Worth.
Pallbearers are Kerr Cowan, Mitchell Boyd, Truman Bragg, Leighton Dawson, Dr.
Clyde Stroud, Dr. Ray Carroll, and Rob Dunn.
Burke was a native of Roane.
