Pvt. Edgar Bolen, son of Mrs. Culverhouse,
was born at Pursley, Texas, December 15, 1896. He received his education
in the public schools. On September 19, 1917, he entered the service and
was ordered to Camp Travis, where he was assigned to Company B, 315th Field
Signal Battalion, 90th Division, where he was in training several months.
On June 26th, 1918, sailed for France for overseas duty. Following the
armistice received his discharge, July 31, 1919, returned to civil life and is
now living in Purdon, Texas.
