The photo below is of the
seven English brothers who
lived to adulthood. According to Al English, grandson of Leander Levalcus
English and son of Rev. Alvin Bryson English, the seven brothers earned the
nickname of “seven devils” because they were quite good fighters. As brothers
they stuck together. If anyone picked on one of them, the others took care of
that person evidently.
