Jessie Wayne Hatley
Jessie Wayne Hatley, 84, of Blooming Grove passed away Sunday, April 9, 2000 at
Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in
Blooming Grove.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove with
Bro Grady Cashion officiating. Interment will follow at
Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hatley was born Nov. 21, 1915 in Frost. He married Frances Armstrong on April
27, 1937 in Chatfield. He was an independent cement contractor for more than 40
years. He was baptist and member of First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Hatley and Ralph Hatley.
Mr. Hatley is survived by his wife, Frances Hatley of Blooming Grove; daughters,
Joann Owen of Galveston and Nancy King of Friendswood; sons, Tony Hatley of
Friendswood and Tim Hatley of Irving; 10 grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal
Gilbreath of Stanford and Suedell Kimble of San Antonio; and brother, Floyd
Hatley of Coolidge.

Frances
Armstrong Hatley, 89, of Blooming Grove, passed away on Jan.
9, 2011, at her residence.
Ms. Hatley was born at Cryer Creek to the late Sol and Mamie
Armstrong on Nov. 30, 1921. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church in Blooming Grove for over 80 years. She
married Wayne Hatley on April 27, 1937, who preceded her in
death after 63 years of marriage.
Mrs. Hatley was also predeceased by five brothers, Garth,
Wallace, Bruce, Jean, and Jimmy Armstrong; one sister,
Gracie Armstrong; and two grandchildren, Kelly King and
Carla Renee Coleman.
Survivors include four children, Tony Hatley and wife Janie
of Friendswood, Nancy King of Blooming Grove, Tim Hatley and
wife Lena of Blooming Grove, and Joan Owen of Ennis; seven
grandchildren, Mark Coleman and wife Diane of Follette, Chad
Coleman of Lake Worth, Dr. Eric Coleman and wife LaTonda of
Dallas, Renee King and fiancé Dale Mathis of Keen, Micah
Hatley and wife Erin of Victoria, Jesse Hatley and wife
Ashley of Friendswood, and Nicholas Hatley of Irving;
brother, Jack Armstrong, she is also survived by 10 great
grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to
Hand-in-Hand Hospice, especially Michelle and Shana for the
loving care given to their mother/grandmother.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12,
2011, at the Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13,
2011, at the First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove, with
the Rev. Grady Cashion officiating,
