Ralph Earl Johnson passed away in a auto-pedestrian accident on October 6, 1973. He was born January 29, 1935 in Kerens, Texas. He attended G. W. Jackson School where he graduated from in 1953. Ralph also served the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Sergeant. He is preceded in death by his cousin and best friend, Lloyd James Johnson.

Ralph (endearingly referred to as ChitChee by his family) is survived by his parents: Ethel Stovall Jones and Odie Springfield; his stepfathers: Carl Johnson and Rev. R. L. Jones; his sister: Beverly Jane Johnson Sims. His wife: Thelma Butcher Johnson. His children: Ricky Simmons Johnson, Jo Ella Tarbutton Johnson, Ralph (David) Earl Johnson, Jr., Kevin Johnson, and NaTasha Johnson.

Funeral services for Ralph Earl Johnson, 38, who was killed Saturday in a car-pedestrian mishap, have been set for 2 p.m. Monday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. R. L. Jones, pastor officiating. Burial will follow at
Woodland Cemetery in Corsicana under the direction of Calhoun Funeral Home.

Johnson is survived by his widow, Mrs. Thelma Johnson of Corsicana; three sons, Kevin Johnson, Ricky Simmons and David Tarbutton, all of Corsicana; two daughters, Natasha Johnson and Jo Ella Tarbutton, both of Corsicana; three step-children, Sheretta Johnson, Gregory Johnson and Rodney Johnson, all of Corsicana; his father, Carl Johnson of Corsicana; his mother, Mrs. Ethyl Jones of Corsicana; his step-father, Rev. R. L. Jones of Corsicana; a sister, Mrs. Beverly Sims of Corsicana; and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Troy Strain, Joel Conley, Archie Hatten, Leon Hughes, Erwin Price, Robert Polk and Charlie Cornish.
