Pvt. Anthony C. Keathley, of Frost,
was born in Navarro County, December 2, 1893, and was educated in the public schools of Frost. Entered the service of the U.S.
Army in May, 1918. Was assigned to Company A, 50th Engineers. Trained at Camp Laurel, Maryland. Went overseas in July, 1918.
Was transferred to the 116th Transportation Corps and was stationed at a railroad machine shop in Nevires, France, as stationary
engineer for eleven months. Landed at Hoboken July 11, 1919, and received his discharge on July 28, 1919.
