Sgt. A. B. Leeper, Blooming Grove, Texas, was born June 29, 1895, and was educated in Indianola and Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Entered the service on September 19, 1917, and was assigned to the 1st Aero Service. Was trained at Kelly Field. Went overseas in February, 1918, and was detailed for
duty with the French Air Service. Participated in several engagements and was wounded at Verdun, losing the left eye and being severely injured in the hip. Received D. S. C. for bravery in action. Cited by the French Government. Discharged April
28, 1919.
