Molloy Rites On Wednesday
Final rites for Col. (Ret.) L. C. Molloy, 66, formally of Corsicana,
were held from the McCammon chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev.
Eugene E. Wood, pastor of Westminister Presbyterian church,
officiating. Burial was in the
Dresden cemetery.
Col. Molloy died Monday at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin. He
lived at 3603 Bridal Path, Austin.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Louise Molloy of Austin; a daughter,
Mrs. Hal Bookout of San Antonio; a sister, Mrs. Julian (Dude) Ransom
of Corsicana, and several nephews.
Pallbearers were Alpheus L. Elliott, Pershing Turner, James B.
Archer, Elmer H. Bruggermann all of the 8th U. S. A. Corps, Austin.
Col. Molloy was a native of Decatur, Colo. He spent most of his life
in the Army, was a veteran of World Wars I and II and the Korean
conflict. He served as a sergeant in World War I. He was a
lieutenant colonel when he recently retired. He was a Presbyterian.
