Deaths In Dallas
Parker – J. F. Parker, 72 years old, farmer living near
Corsicana, died suddenly yesterday morning on the street in front of 721 First
Avenue while waiting for a street car. He came to Dallas to visit his
children and was on his way to the Union Terminal Station to take a train for
home. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C. E. Douglas of Ennis, Mrs.
Delonna Rawson of Dallas and Mrs. Levada Waggoner of Clovis, N. M. and four
sons, J. S. Parker and S. S. Parker of Corsicana, T. L. Parker of Dallas and Lee
Parker of St. Paul, Minn. The body will be sent to Corsicana
tomorrow afternoon by Undertaker Loudumille.

Georgia about 1887 and had remained in the Roane area of Navarro County since
that time. He is buried in the far west side of
Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana
beside his wife, who had died in 1918) and his son (James Solomon) and his wife.

To Send Body to Corsicana
The body of John F. Parker, seventy-two years old, who
dropped dead Thursday morning on First Avenue while waiting for a street car,
will be forwarded to Corsicana for burial by Undertaker Loudermilk. Mr.
Parker had been visiting his children here and was on his way to New Mexico at
the time of his death. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. E.
Douglas of Ennis, Mrs. Delonna Rawson of Dallas and Mrs. Levada Waggoner of
Clovis, N. M. and four sons, J. S. Parker and S. S. Parker of Corsicana,
T. L. Parker of Dallas and Lee Parker of St. Paul, Minn.

A Good Citizen of Navarro
County Passes Away
J. F. Butler, for twenty
years a good citizen of the
Roane community dropped dead
in Dallas this morning while
enroute to the depot to take
the train that would carry
him to see a daughter who
lives in New Mexico. The
deceased had spent the night
with a son who lives in
Dallas and the son was with
him when he suddenly fell
and expired. The deceased
was seventy-two years old
and was in apparently good
health when the end came. J.
S. Butler, a son who lives
in Roane, and a son-in-law,
Tom Gowan, of Hester, went
to Dallas as soon as the
news reached them and will
bring the remains for
interment beside those of
his wife who was buried here
a year ago.

Remains Interred Saturday Afternoon.
The remains of J. F. Parker, who died suddenly in
Dallas Wednesday morning, reached there last
Saturday afternoon and the funeral took place from
the interurban depot, with interment in Oakwood
cemetery. The deceased had been a resident of the
Roane community for many years and was regarded as
among our best citizens. Rev. Mr. Bell of Roane
officiated at the funeral and there were many
friends to witness the last sad rites.

Highly Esteemed Lady Dead
Passed Away at Roane After Few Hour’s Illness
Mrs. Sarah Jane Parker, aged sixty-nine years,
wife of J. F. Parker, died at the family home at Roane at 2:30 this
morning after only a few hours illness. The deceased and her husband
were in Corsicana late Saturday evening on their return from a visit to
Ennis, and reached home just before night. Soon after getting home Mrs.
Parker was stricken with paralysis, and died a few hours later.
The remains were interred here this afternoon at
5:30, Rev. Pat Leach of Chatfield officiating. The deceased is survived
by her husband and six grown children, J. S. Parker of Drane; Mrs. C. E.
Douglas of Ennis; Lee Parker, St. Paul, Minnesota; F. L. Parker, Dallas;
Mrs. Delona Holmes of Dallas; Sam Parker, of Roane; and Mrs. William
Waggoner of Clovis, New Mexico.
The deceased was a member of the Methodist
Church , and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends.
