I have a leaflet from the funeral of Mrs. Ethel SWINEY, who
died 8 February 1966. Her services were at Corley Chapel in
Corsicana at 1 P.M. on Thursday 10 February 1966 with the Reverend
Mr. Homer COX officiating; burial in
Dawson Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charlie Joe ARMSTRONG, Rufus PEVEHOUSE, Lloyd
CARRAWAY, Ernest STOKES, Joe WORSHAM, and Ed ASTON.
I would like to give this leaflet to some interested member of
Mrs. SWINEY's family.

Hold Services For Mrs. Swiney
Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Swiney, 69, nurse, who died at her
home 713 West Eleventh avenue Tuesday night were held Thursday at 1
p.m. from the Corley Chapel with burial in the
Dawson cemetery.
The rites were conducted by Rev. Homer Cox, pastor of the Eleventh
Avenue Methodist church, of which she was a member.
Mrs. Swiney was a native of Navarro county and a long-time resident
of Corsicana.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Aubrey McDonald, Dallas; Mrs.
Loyce Benfield, Corsicana, and Mrs. George Walker, Duncanville; five
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, seven sisters, Mrs. A. T.
Scruggs, Jacksonville; Mrs. Lewis Mathison, Corsicana; Mrs. Ray
Berryhill, Kilgore; Mrs. Mary Berryhill, Elgin, Okla.; Mrs. Bertha
Love, Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Truman Burnett, Fort Worth; Mrs. Hal
Hightower, Dallas; three brothers, Lewis Powers, Burleson; Odie
Powers, Duncan, Okla., and A. D. Powers, Franklin, La., and other
relatives.
Pallbearers were Ernest Stokes, Rufus Pevehouse, Charlie Joe
Armstrong, Joe Worsham, Ed Aston and Lloyd Carraway.
