Wheeler. - Corsicana, Tex., Dec. 9 - Mayor L. T. Wheeler, one of Corsicana's oldest citizens, died this afternoon at 2 o'clock at his residence, following a long illness. He was a member of the Corsicana bar before the Civil War and was for years a friend of the late Senator Mills and was best man at the marriage of Mr. Mills, and they remained warm friends to the day of the death of that distinguished citizen some months ago. Major Wheeler was a Confederate veteran and loved the South and her cause to the moment of his death. He had been a Mason for fifty years.
