S.W. Grimes was early businessman in Blooming Grove. along with A.S. Henry,
M.G. Young
He later sold out his mercantile business to his brother, F.M. Grimes and
M.G. Young who continued it around 1895.

Letter written Oct 18, 1905 from Earl, an older son, who is off at Wall
School, a private school in Honey Grove
sent to his mother, and younger brother, Carl. "I don't guess it will take
the boys long to get enough of the butcher shop"..."Do you think he
will put me in the shop this summer? I don't imagine I would like the
business very well."
