Oak Valley Circle
The annual Oak Valley Circle of the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery Association
ice cream supper, held on the second Saturday of August each year, was a huge
success again this year thanks to the support and generosity of the people of
Corsicana and the surrounding areas. Without the tireless efforts and
participation of the people and businesses of Corsicana the efforts would be
futile. Members always look forward to seeing you there each year for food, fun
and fellowship. Proceeds go toward the upkeep and maintenance of Hamilton-Beeman
Cemetery with hopes of perpetual care in the future. It is through your
continued participation and donations that it is hoped to attain this goal.
This year the following names were drawn from donations to the cemetery
and the following items were awarded: Ruth Kennemore - quilt donated by the
ladies of the Oak Valley Circle of Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery; Frank Greer - tent;
Jake Jacobs - rod and reel; Janette Greer - spot light; Cliff Foreman - mantle
clock; Dan Greer - lawn chair; Jake Jacobs - picnic basket; Kenneth Ainsworth -
large platter with matching salt and pepper; Jan Jacobs - two tape measures,
Lisa Jacobs - three-piece barbecue tool set; Willie Lee Coker - sewing basket;
Heather Elmore - large vase; Frankie Odom - four-piece salad set; C. Williams -
claw hammer.
Anyone with a loved one or an interest in Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery may
