To the best of my knowledge there is no “Lone Cedar” cemetery
in Navarro County OR the “Lone Cedar” cemetery is in Ellis Co.
I really am not sure which is which as to the fact of Lone Cedar cemetery being
a fact or in Ellis County. You may want to research that.
What I am sure of is the fact that Vol. 4 page 60 of the Navarro County Cemetery
Records has the incorrect title and should read Lone Oak Cemetery.
My family refers to Lone Cedar community as at the county line just off and to
the west of 55 but on the south side of the creek which would be in Navarro
County…but no cemetery or they used Lone Oak. Lone Oak community and the Lone
Oak cemetery is just to the south of Lone Cedar. So when Malvin and Maxine did
the survey they could have just picked up the wrong community…or I just don’t
know why they called it Lone Cedar.
Anyway…
On the Cemetery Index page where you have Lone Cedar map #2 Vol 4 and directions
+ The incomplete burial list of CSA vet WF Patterson = is actually in LONE OAK
cemetery. And is also listed on Diane’s file.
