Post Card Picture is Stephen Augustus Pace Home , Located 1003 West 3rd Ave. Picture is showing the East and North side of the home. North side (front) is on 3rd Ave. Navarro Co. I am responding to the question regarding the identity of the house pictured on a post card from 1907. The residence on the post card is the Pace-Hamilton home located at 1003 W. 3rd Avenue. If you look in volume four on page 262 of Navarro county history, you will notice that the picture on the post card places this home between the top picture and the bottom picture. The top picture is most likely the original design from 1887 and the bottom picture is of the current design resulting from remodeling done in the 1920's. This is one of great homes of the carriage district and I am glad to notice that the current owners seem to be maintaining it.   Brad Cook 10/14/1999
