14 Oct 2002 I had two uncles who taught at the air field in Corsicana
during WWII - Andrew and Joe Williamson. I have some things from Uncle
Joe and would like to know if there is a museum which might be
interested in them. NOTES:
YES, THERE IS A MUSEUM AT THE AIRFIELD, SEE THEIR

2002 Help! Gr-grandfather August Blum d. in Austin Aug 7, 1914. The
Asylum says they sent the body home but don't say where! Records say he
was to be buried next to his wife. No death certificate. He had family
and property in Corsicana. I think he and his wife must have been buried
in unmarked graves. How do I find out? Thanks.
Cathy Fri 04 Oct 2002 I
believe my gr-grandfather, J. M. Stark, is a brother of Robert Franklin
Stark. Is there an obit, will, or anything on R. F. Stark which lists
his siblings and parents? R. F. Stark died before J. M. - need to find
anything which will list J. M. Stark as a surviving brother.

Looking for information on Daniel Smith, my great-grandfather, who was
listed as being born in Navarro County on my Grandmothers birth
certificate. She was born in 1912 making him born 1873-1875)
I have a photo of him with my great grandmother & their 2 little Girls
in St. Augustine Co. where the girls were born & their mother told them
he left them because he had another family in Navarro Co. I want
to find him & this family. The photo you have posted looks just like the man in the photo I

Greetings from San Diego (California, not Texas)!
I'm a travel writer living in San Diego and I'm doing some research for
a story about a lady who I believe was born and raised in Corsicana. Her
name was Frances Wilburn Allen Stephenson, or something very close to
that. I am told that her father was one of the founders of TEXACO.
I know she was a radio actress in Hollywood during the 1930s and was a
friend of many of the big stars of that time. She eventually
retired here in San Diego. She was also a close friend of my father. I
met her several times before she passed away back in the late 1980s.
I am looking for anyone who might have known her or anything about her.
I've tried doing an internet search but that didn't help much. I hope
you can pass this request along in your paper or to anybody or any
organization in Corsicana who might be able to help me. There's a
fascinating story here, if I can fill in some of the missing pieces.

but aol says there is no such address. Any help would be appreciated,

I am writing a book on The Texas Gun Trade, 1780 – 1899. I am very
interested in any information or things pertaining to this subject. I
am including gunsmiths, gun makers, gun dealers (including hardware
stores, etc.), or any others that took part in the gun trade in Texas.
Please let me know if you have any information, articles or objects
related to this subject.
