BLOOMING GROVE SCHOOLS OPENED; TWO

BLOOMING GROVE, Sept. 14. - The 1936-37 Blooming Grove schools opened
Monday morning after a special program held Sunday night in the
auditorium. The Carroll and Pecan school districts have consolidated
with the local district for this year and the scholastics from those
communities will be brought to the local school in busses. A large
number of scholastics from the Dresden school have transferred.
School authorities expect an enrollment of 500 pupils.
School officials and teachers include:
C. C. Isbell, superintendent; Clyde Ross, principal, and assistant
coach; Mrs. G. E. Ramsey, Sr., English; W. P. Orme, vocational
agriculture; Miss Opal Allmon, home economics; Ralph Hooker,
commercial subjects and athletic coach. Elementary teachers are Miss
Gladys Haines, Miss Juanita McCarty, Miss Kathleen Connally, Miss
Ruby McCrary, Mrs. K. Hartley, Miss McKinney.
