Commencement Exercises.
The commencement exercises of the Emhouse High School were held at the High School Auditorium Monday night of this week. The graduating class consisted ot four members:
Johnnie Kate Chaney, Roy Bristow, Fred Williams and Willis Deavers.
Miss Johnnie Kate Chaney won first honors this year, and was
consequently valedictorian of the class. Roy Bristow won second and was salutetorian. All of the students had made a high average and were well worthy of receiving their diplomas. We are naturally proud of them all. Dr. B. J. Albritton, president of the
Jacksonville Baptist College, Jacksonville, Texas, delivered a very able and
appropriate address to the graduates, and presented them their diplomas.
The baccalaureate sermon was preached Sunday, June 1, by Rev. L. S. Ballard of Richardson, Texas. Many friends and relatives of the
graduates were present upon both occasions to see them receive
their honors.
