Frost School Closes
The last exercises of the Frost
high school was held at the school
auditorium Monday night. The class
address was delivered by Dr. A. G.
Flowers of the law department of
Baylor. Lucille Shepherd was the
salutatorian, her subject being "The
Open Door," and Miss Mary Mitchell,
the valedictorian, her subject, "The
Dawn of a New Day."
C. N. Wilkinson, principal of the,
school, presented diplomas to the following
graduates:
Lucille Shepherd, Mary Mitchell,
Honor Calhoun, Fayette Benton,
Charlie Slay, Raymond Jones.
The baccalaureate sermon was de-
livered Sunday morning at the Baptist
church by Rev. Highsmith past-
or of the Christian church at Italy.
and the church was filled to hear him.
Thus ended a successful nine
months’ of school for Frost.
All the teachers have left for their
respective homes. Supt. Stephenson
will leave in a few days for Chat-
tanooga, Okla., to visit a short time
with his parents before proceeding
to summer school at the Oklahoma
university.
While Mr. Stephenson was elected
superintendent by the school board
for the third term, he has concluded
not to accept.
No teachers have been selected by
the board for another term as yet.
The recent voting of an additional
50 cent tax at a recent election insures
Frost having a full nine months
school next year.
