An elaborate musical programme
featured the commencement exercises
of the State Orphans' Home school
for the 1922 term Monday night.
Several prominent Corsicana people
attended Monday night exorcises,
which were well directed and uniquely
rendered. The school auditorium
was filled almost to capacity. The
audience was very apreciative of the
extremely fine talent displayed in the
well-chosen numbers. Encores were
frequent. The programme was directed
by Miss Sadler.

Commencement exercises for tonight
include a band concert given on the
school campus at 6:30 o'clock. At
7:00 o'clock an inspirational address
will be delivered by Dean Taylor, of
the Texas Womans' College.
The feature of the evening will be
the faculty play in the school auditorium.
Title of the play will be
"Doestrick Skule."
Wednesday evening at 8:00 o'clock
the Grammar grade exercises will be
held.
The exercises for Thursday evening
will open with a band concert on the
campus at 6:30 o'clock. At 8:.00
o'clock the graduation exercises for
the seniors will he held in the auditorium.
The senior class will render
its literary and musical numbers, as-
sisted by the Glee Club. The
address for the evening will be delivered
by Senator S. B. Crowell, of Austin
Senator Woods, of Corsicana,
will make presentation of the diplomas
to the six graduates.
Friday evening at 6:30 o'clock a
band concert on the campus will open
the exercises. At 8:00 o'clock stu-
dents stunts will be staged. These
stunts will consist of stage impersonations
of faculty members, employees
of the institution, etc. The results of
the elections carried on during the
present week, will be announced.
The commencement exercises will
close with Saturday evening's events
At 8:00 o'clock Saturday evening the
annual declamation contests of the
students will he held in the big auditorium.
Rev. B. G. Holloway of Waco,
and Fred Upchurch, city attorney
of Corsicana, have offered winner's
medals to the girl and boy each carrying
off high honors in the contests.
Harry Rimmer, of California, con-
ceded to be the most effective boys’
evangelist in America, will visit the
institution next week.
The senior graduates this year are
Annie Garrett, Effie Martin, Thelma
Thompson, Aline Meek, Ernest Bohanan
and Van Price.
The public is invited to attend all
the exercises, Supt. Minatra announces.
