GRADUATION COMES
FRIDAY, MAY 30TH
TWENTY-EIGHT STUDENTS
WILL RECEIVE DIPLOMAS
FROM, INSTITUTION
Commencement exercises for the
1930 class of the I. O. O. F. Home
school here will be held Friday
night May 30. The baccalaureate
sermon will be delivered Sunday
morning at 9 o'clock in the auditorium
of the school by Rev. P.
Martin Baker, pastor of the Third
Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Other exercises during the week
include the Kindergarten program
Tuesday night under the direction
of Miss Myrtle Shockley.
teacher; an operetta, "The Bell of
Bagdad," by the fine arts students
on Wednesday night under the direction
of Miss Emily Roberts
and Miss Alice Ruby King, and
the Senior play. "The Charm
School," Thursday night under
the direction of Miss Alice Ruby
King.
There are 21 girls and seven
boys in the graduating class this
year and seven of the students
of the Home will leave on account
of reaching the age limit which
is 18 years for boys and 10 years
for girls.

Capitol Lodge No. 23 of Austin
and the Smithville Lodge of
Smithville which are sponsoring
Norvelle Ray and Inda Ray at
the Home will also send them to
a business college in Austin, It
was announced by Ross Harris,
superintendent of the Home.
