HOME HIGH SCHOOL
TWENTY-TWO STUDENTS TO
RECEIVE DIPLOMAS ON
FRIDAY, MAY 29
Commencement exercises of thr
I. O. O. F. Home high school will
open with the baccalaureate service
Sunday morning, May 24 at
11 o'clock with the sermon being
delivered by Rev. M. E. McPhall,
pastor of the Third Avenue Presbyterian
church. The service will
be held in the auditorium of the
Home and a number of prominent
Odd Fellows are expected to
attend.
Final commencement exercises
wlll be held on Friday night, May
29 at 8 oclock. Other exercises
will be presented during the week
starting with the Fine Arts program
on Monday night, May 25
at 5 o'clock. An operetta, "Crocodile
Island" will be presented by
the Fine Arts department Wednesday
night, May 27 and on
Thursday night, May 28, the Senior
class play. "The District Attorney"
will be presented.
Judge C. L. Brachfield, grand
representative of the I. O. O. F.
of Texas, will deliver the class
address.
There are 22 members of the
graduating class this year. Charlsie
Sanford is valedictorian and
Annie Perry is salutatorian.
Included in the list of those
graduating are Haskell Adcox,
Sue Brown, Wilson Campbell,
Frances Capps, Evelyn Carpenter,
Robert Carter, Harold Davidson,
Lucille Fox, Walter Harwell,
Hazel Hitt, Ruby Mae Holland,
Louis B. McGraw, Mertie Metcalf,
Jack Owens, Annie Perry.
Edna Rogers, Charlsie Sanford,
Nellie Smith. LaVerne Smoke,
Irmatha Talley, Elizabeth Trim,
Ouida Williams.
Elmer Lynch, William Box and
Ishmael Rosson are leaving the
institution at the close of school
on account of having reached
the age limit.
