The impressive double ring ceremony that united in marriage Miss Ida
Fields and the Rev. Charles J. McAfee at Central Methodist Church
Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock was read by the Rev. Marvin C.
Bledsoe, pastor of the
Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Halieman Of
Dallas, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
LeRoy McAfee of
Corsicana.
Baskets of white gladioli, flanked by glowing cathedral tapers In
floor candelabra, provided an effective
altar decor for the rites. The bride, given in marriage by Conley
Lovelace, superintendent of the IOOF Home, was attired in a navy
blue wool suit with white and bronze accessories, and carried a
white Bible overlaid with orchids
and showered with diminutive satin ribbons.
Miss Sandra Rutherford, maid of honor, wore a beige suite with
harmonizing accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Billy McKie
served as best man. Miss Zelma Hanson sang the prenuptial solos,
"Because" and "Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life" with Mrs. Felix DeLafosse
at the piano, and Miss Exa Clair Love played the traditional wedding
marches as processional and recessional.
Bobby McAfee and David Pendleton served as ushers, and Mrs. Bobby,
McAfee presided at the guests' 'book.
After a short wedding trip, the couple will be at home in Fort
Worth.
The bride was graduated from Corsicana High School, and has been
attending Navarro Junior College. The bridegroom is also a graduate
of Corsicana High School, and is now attending Texas Wesleyan
College in Fort Worth.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Haltoman of Dallas, parents of the bride, were
among the out-of-town guests at the wedding.

McAfee To Wed April 4
Mrs. Martha Castleberry, Austin, announces the engagement and
approaching marriage of her daughter, Anne Elizabeth, to William
Kenneth McAfee, son of Mrs. T. R. McAfee, 108 West Third avenue, and
the late Mr. McAfee. The wedding Is to be on Friday, April 4, at
7:30 p. m. at the home of the ride's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs.
Chester Koock, 811 West Love Oak street, Austin. The bride is a
senior in the University of Texas where she is a member of Women
Independent Campus Association and the Campus League of Women
Voters. She attended Austin high school. McAfee attended Corsicana
High school, graduated from Kerens High school, is a former student
of North Texas State, Denton, and the University of Texas. He Is now
manager of the Marr Printing Company.
Hill-Thompson
Mr. Odus Hill
and Miss Vallie Thompson were married Tuesday afternoon at the
Baptist parsonage by Rev. Oby Nelson.
The young couple
are of highly respected families of this community and the Star
joins in wishing them a happy wedded life.

Dechard McAfee
and Aline Hatfield Are Wed in Oklahoma
Decherd McAfee and Aline Hatfield of Dallas were married at
Marietta, Okla., on Saturday, Dec 18. It has been announced. Mr. and
Mrs. McAfee have returned from a brief trip and are at home to their
many friends.
Mr. McAfee is city sanitary engineer and Mrs. McAfee is well known
here, having been a resident of Corsicana practically all her life.
