ARE GRADUATED AT PRIMARY FLYING SCHOOL IN CORSICANA
Corsicana, Tex., Nov 1 (Special). Two officers and forty aviation
cadets were graduated
from the primary flying school of the air corps training detahment
here Saturday.
This is the fifth group finishing since the school was opened in
March of this
year. The present class started on Aug 23 with sixty seven members.
Those
graduating will report Wednesday at Raqndolph Field to begin their
basic training
and are slated to receive their wings and commissions in March 1942.
A new class numbering 130 cadets is to report some time next week.
A new barracks building has been completed with accommodations for
100 men.
The two flying officers are Second Lieut Gwynne S. Curtis of Dallas
and Samuel W. Parks
of College Grove, Tenn., both June graduates of the U.S. Military
Academy.
