Pvt. Alvin O. Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Long, Corsicana.  Graduated from Corsicana High School.  Entered service, Feb. 23, 1943, trained at Camp Hulen, Texas and Leasville, La., with the 552nd Anti-Aircraft Division.  Served in England, France, Belgium, and Germany.  Has Good Conduct Ribbon and ETO Ribbon with Five Bronze Stars.  Now on duty at Goddelsheim, Germany.

Lt. (jg) Roy B. Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Long, attended Dawson High School.  Wife is the former Joyce Stephenson.  Entered the Navy Air Corps in 1943, training at Corpus Christi.  Served in Philippines and is now at Pensacola, Fla.
LOOPER, FAY R.
Cpl. Ray R. Looper, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Looper, Arkansas.  Wife, the former Magdalene Barton, attended Arkansas Schools.  Entered service, 1943, training with the Army Engineers at Camp White, Oregon.  Served in England, France, Belgium and Germany.  Five Battle Stars.

Pfc. Ross H. Loper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Loper, Corsicana.  Graduate of Corsicana High Schools.  Entered the Army in 1943, training at Camp Wolters, Texas, and Camp Reynolds, Ohio.  Served in England, France, and Germany where now on duty in Adjutant General Office, Group CC U.S. Army O.C.

LORD, WILLIAM T.
Cpl. William T. Lord, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Lord, attended Corsicana High School.  Entered the ground crew of the A.C. in 1943, training at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., and Chanute Field, Ill.  Served in N. Africa and India.  Has Four Battle Stars, Presidential Ciatation, Good Conduct and Campaign Ribbon.  Now on duty at Tinian Island.
LOVE, CARLOS O.
Lt. Carlos O. Love, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlos B. Love, wife, the former Jean MacMaster. Attended Corsicana High School and A&M College. Entered service, 1943. Trained with Signal Corps at Ft. Monmouth, Harvard University, and A&M College. Served in England, Germany and is now on duty in France.

Cpl. Chester J. Low, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Low.  Attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1941, training with the Air Corps at Sheppard Field.  Served in Australia, New Guinea, Netherland East Indies, Philippines.  Has Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic, Pacific Theater Ribbon and Philippine Liberation Ribbon.  Now on duty at Bryan Field.

Badge, Combat Badge, Good Conduct Ribbon, Presidential Citation, Oak Leaf Cluster.

S 1/C Marvin L. Lucas, son of Mrs. Annie Wood, attended Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Navy at San Diego.  Has served at Pearl Harbor and Marshall Islands, was wounded in action, 1943, now on duty at sea.  Has Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal.
LUNA, DAVID O.
Pfc. David O. Luna, son of Mrs. Carmen O. Luna, Corsicana, attended Sam Houston School.  Entered Army Feb. 23, 1942, trained at Camp McBall, N.C., Camp Polk, La.  Has engaged in campaigns on New Guinea, Leyte, Luzon, now on New Guinea in hospital, wounded on Leyte, Dec 26, 1944.  Awarded Purple Heart, PTO Ribbon, and other Honors.
LUSK, CLYDE W.
S/Sgt. Clyde W. Lusk, son of Mrs. Katie Lusk, Dallas, husband of the former Mavis Hollingsworth, attended Frost and Corsicana Schools.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Army at Camp Adair, Ft. Lewis and San Luis Obispo, Cal  Has served in Hawaii, Leyte, Biak, Okinawa, where now on duty.  Wounded on Leyte, 1944.

S 1/C A. J. Lusk, son of Mrs. Katie Lusk, Dallas, Tex., attended Corsicana and Waco Schools.  Entered service, 1944, trained with Navy at Farragut, Idaho and San Pedro, California.   Has served on Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Guam, Marianas, Leyte, now on duty at Okinawa.
LUTHER, SAMUEL R.
C.S.F. Samuel R. Luther, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Luther, Sr., Rankin, husband of the former Miss M. Corene Greene, Blooming Grove.  Entered service, 1942, trained with Navy at Davisville, Rhode Island.  Has served at Bermuda Island, Hawaiian Islands, Iwo Jima, where he is now on duty.

S 2/C Franklin Luther, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Luther, Barry, attended Barry Schools.  Entered Navy in 1944, trained at San Diego.  Now on duty at Pearl Harbor.
LUTHER, JAMES L.
Pfc. James L. Luther, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Luther, Barry, graduate of Barry High School.  Entered service in June, 1943, trained with the Commando Unit of the Infantry at Camp Fannin.  Has been in Hawaiian Islands for 17 months, now on duty at Honolulu.  Bears Marksmanship Medal.
LYLES, HOMER E.
Homer E. Lyles, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Lyles, Dawson, attended Dawson High School.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Navy as Deep Sea Diver at Camp Perry.  Has served in France and now on duty in Manila.
LYNCH, EDGAR D.
Sgt. Edgar D. Lynch, son of Mrs. Lula Lynch, husband of the former Miss Levena Herbert, attended Rural Shade School.  Entered service, 1935, trained with Army at El Paso.  Has served in England, France, and Germany, where now on duty.
