Pvt. LeRoy Andrews, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L.
Andrews of Navarro County, was born June 23, 1894, in Kaufman County and
received his education in the rural schools of that county. He was
assigned to Company E, 143rd Infantry, and trained at Camp Bowie and Camp
Travis, when he entered the service on May 25, 1918. After sailing for
France, September 16, 1918, he participated in the activities with his company
up to the time of his death of bronchial pneumonia on October 4, 1918.
