Sgt. J. L. (Sic) Glass is the son of Mrs. A. E.
Glass, of Navarro County. He was born in Navarro County, May 15, 1888 and
educated in the schools of that county. He was assigned to the
Demobilization Detachment Camp Travis, on his entry in the service, July 23,
1918, and received his discharge May 23rd of the following year.

E. M. Glass, son of Mrs. A. E. Glass, of
Navarro County, Texas, was born in Kerens County [sic.. I assume this should be
Kerens, Navarro County] on September 15, 1896. He entered service June 24,
1918, and was trained at Camp Lee, Virginia, before being sent to France with
the Veterinary Hospital No. 2, October 28, 1918. He received his discharge
July 5, 1919.

OBITUARY
J. T. Glass
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Kerens for
John Thomas Glass, 85, who died Wednesday at his home at Rt. 1, Kerens. Burial
will be in the Prairie Point
Cemetery, with Cate Sherrer officiating. Paschal Funeral Home of Kerens is
in charge of service arrangements.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Kerens and a Mason for 50 years. He
was a member of the Kiwanis Club,
World War I veteran, a teacher by profession who taught in the agriculture
department of Henderson County Junior College.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wayne D. Taylor of New London, Tex. and
Mrs. Pat Ford of Arlington; three grandchildren; four brothers, Calvin Glass of
Kerens, Malcom Glass of Kerens, H. G. Glass of Athens, and J. M. Glass of
Snyder; one sister, Mrs. Janie Ayre of Kerens; and a number of nieces and
nephews.
Pallbearers will be R. H. Hilliard, Joe King, W. P. Ingram, A. G. Godley, A. D.
Huggins, and J. L. Trammel.
The family requests that all memorials be given to the Cancer Society.
