his life and first knew him in GA., and that he was a Lieutenant under Col.

Mrs. C. E. Cole
It is with sorrow that the Hustler chronicles the death of Mrs. C. E. Cole, who
died in a Lubbock Sanitarium last Thursday night following which was the last
of a series of eight operations. Mrs. Cole had been suffering for several
years, and one operation after another was performed in the hope that her
health might be restored, but all that medical science and the hands of
skilled surgeons could do was of no avail.
She ran the journey of her life in thirty-six years. It is a path marked with
deeds of kindness and cheer. Flowers not thorns, sunshine not shadow did she
scatter everywhere. H these she was lavish. Truth was the inspiration of her
life and by kindness she exemplified it great worth. Was hot her life full of
Godlikeness.
Funeral services were held from Rex Funeral Home in Lubbock at 3:00 Friday
afternoon, with Rev. W. P. McBeth, her local pastor of the Baptist Church
delivering the funeral oration, following her body will be carried to Irene,
Texas her old home, where interment was made.
The Hustler, together with the entire citizenship of Ropes extends heartfelt
and sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Notes: |
