Hello-
My father served on the USS Navarro and as I was researching the ship, I came across your web site. I wanted to share with you something that I have of his. It is somewhat unusual, but maybe you've heard of it. It is a paper card about the size of a credit card that reads:

Domain Of The Golden Dragon
Ruler of the 180th meridian
To all sailors wherever ye may be and to all mermaids, flying dragons, spirits of the deep, devil chasers and all other living creatures of the seas, GREETINGS: Know ye that on this 7th day of Feb, 1945 within the limits of my august dwelling on board USS NAVARRO (APA 215).
HEARKEN YE that said vessel, officers and crew have inspected and passed DON M. BONEY, HALc USNR and has been found sane and worth of the Silent Mysteries of the Far East.
GOLDEN DRAGON; Ruler of the 180th Meridian
