GLADYS, born October 28, 1914, passed away December 17, 1996.  She had lived in Dallas most of her life where she was a professional seamstress.  She was also a member of the Westmoreland Heights Baptist Church.  Preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Davis and daughter, Billie Brennan.  Survived by son & daughter-in-law, Marvin & Marilyn Davis of Malakoff; daughters & sons-in-law, Dora & Darrell Cambridge of Bonner, MT, Gigi & Dana Morrow of Lake Whitney, TX; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grand children; brothers & sisters-in-law, Earl & Birdie Ellis of Corsicana, TX, Arnold & Helen Ellis of Hope AR and these family members, Josie Miller, Betty Roberson, Mary Milam, Gene, E? Sherrie Lynn (Adams) Bailey
Feb 5, 1944 - Apr 3, 2002

Sherrie Lynn Adams Bailey, 58, of Kaufman and formerly of Corsicana, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at her residence surrounded by her husband, daughters, granddaughter and dearest friend since childhood, Tena Goedecke.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at College Mound Methodist Church near Terrell. Graveside song and prayer will follow at College Mound Cemetery.

Mrs. Bailey was born Feb. 5, 1944 in Burkburnett. She received her CPA license in 1987 and served over 25 years with the Internal Revenue Service from which she retired in 2001 leaving behind many friends. Her compassion and integrity touched many family members and friends through her kindness and ever-willingness to help with her time and talents. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ura Schafer and E.W. Adams.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Bailey; daughters, Kathy Bailey Partin, Karie Bailey Irvine, and Kristy Bailey Beasley; son-in-law, William Beasley; grandchildren, Lee Bailey Partin, Sunny Elaine Bailey, Zachary Aaron Partin, Amber Dawn Beasley, and Wesley Ray Beasley; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Charlene Juliuson; sister, Juanita Morton; many nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers-in-law and her five "sisters by chance -- friends by choice," Betty Petruska, Barbara Hearn, Brenda Lara, Sissy Tapley and K.K. Schoen.

Rodney Bernard Williams, 34, of Dallas passed away Sunday, March 31, 2002 at his residence.

Wake services will be 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ross and Johnson Mortuary Chapel.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Elder Joseph Johnson, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be classmates from the [CHS] Class of 1985 and friends of the family.

Mr. Williams was born April 30, 1967 in Corsicana. He was a graduate of Corsicana High School and a member of Johnson Memorial Church of God in Christ.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Viola and W. C. Butler and L. K. Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by son Britt Williams; parents Rosie Mae and Raymond Williams; maternal grandparents Roosevelt Hamilton, Sr. and Mary Jo Hamilton; sisters Jacqueline Williams, Genetta Franklin and husband Victor, all of Corsicana, and Rhonda Williams of El Paso; nieces Shelondria Bryant, Jasmine Jennings and Imahgony Williams; nephews Bryson Williams, Lˇmon Bryant and Jaron Jennings; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

JoAnn Tubbs Sheppard, 93, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, March 31, 2002 at Navarro Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ross and Johnson Mortuary and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Andrew Chapel Baptist Church in Oakwood.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Andrew Chapel Baptist Church in Oakwood with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis and Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Bluff Cemetery in Oakwood.

Mrs. Sheppard was born April 25, 1908 in Oakwood. She also lived in Texas City.

She was preceded in death by husband Ezell Sheppard; daughters Elizabeth Johnson and Celestine Sheppard; and granddaughter Jo Ann Johnson.

Mrs. Sheppard is survived by grandchildren Charles E. Johnson, Sr. and wife Sheryl of Galveston, Loyce Johnson of Corsicana, Georgia B. Cotten of Oakwood, Gloria Randle of Texas City, Otha Bell McAfee and husband Ivry of Texas City and Ronnie L. Johnson, Sr. and wife Margaret of LaMarque; 14 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; nephews Lysander Owens and wife Doris and Willie J. Owens and wife Helen, all of Oakwood, and Canary DeVaughn and wife Louis of Houston; and great-niece Betty J. Dews and husband Melvin of Oakwood.

L.C. Dennis, 72, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2002 in Corsicana.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Kerens City Cemetery with Brother Bill Honea officiating.

Mr. Dennis was born April 19, 1929 in Navarro County to Ely and Della Dennis. He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his sons, L.C. Jr., Jimmy, Doyle, Robert, Larry, Joe Allen and Ronny; daughter, Mary Ann; lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Dennis; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Marjorie (Lewis) Carothers
May 5, 1922 - Mar 1, 2002

Services for Marjorie Lewis Carothers, 79, of Gun Barrel City were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beacon Church of Christ in Gun Barrel City with Ken Maddox officiating.

Burial followed at Aley King Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.

Mrs. Carothers died March 1, 2002, in Corsicana.

She was born May 5, 1922, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Mrs. Carothers worked as city secretary for Gun Barrel City for 10 years. She was a member of Beacon Church of Christ. She was also a founding member of the Gun Barrel City beautification project, Property Owners Association for Eastwood Island and the Cedar Creek Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol Mack and Maude Rosetta Huie Bassett; husbands, Kenneth Lewis, in 1991, and James "Coke" Carothers, in 1999; siblings, Merle Jones, Galand Bassett and Jaynie Westbrook; and her twin, Max Bassett.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Carol Montgomery of Lamesa, Ross Westbrook of Gail, Billie Hamilton of Lamesa, Jim Westbrook of Dallas, Ruth Ann Laborde of Medina and Colleen Grimes of Beaumont.

Pallbearers were Mack Montgomery, Sid Westbrook, James Scroggins, Wally Whorton, Johnny Montgomery, Ted Cooley, Johnny Powers and Jim Grimes.


Catherine Jean (Murphey) Ashley

Services for Catherine Jean Ashley, 57, of Eustace are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with the Rev. Jim Bosley officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.

Mrs. Ashley died Feb. 26, 2002, in Eustace.

She was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Corsicana. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Arthur Ashley of Eustace; son, Ray Ashley of Mabank; daughters, Paula Lowe of Eustace, Tricia Shorde of Oak Wood and Beverly Worley of Oak Wood; brothers, Bobby Murphey of Dallas, Harvey Murphey of Carrollton, James Murphey of Eustace, Larry Murphey of Philadelphia, Miss., and Billy Murphey of Dallas; sister, Brenda Darrington of Lake Tawakoni; sons-in-law, Mark Shultz of Eustace and Johnny Worley of Oak Wood; grandchildren, Cody Lowe, Jerry Worley, Johnny Worley, Michael Schultz, Clinton Worley, Kristal Worley and Carlee Perry.

Services for Catherine G. Huff Kennington, 65, of Brownsboro are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with the Rev. Randy Potter officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Kerens under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.

Mrs. Kennington died April 1, 2002, in Brownsboro.

She was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Kerens to K. C. and India Irene Hammett Huff.

Mrs. Kennington was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin Kennington; son Donald Eugene Bowlin; and sister, Gladys Gossett.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Verna Kay Mitchell of Lindale and Donna Irene and Tommy Stewart of DeSoto; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Dania Kay and George Hackler of Glenn Heights; brothers, Tinsley Hyle Huff and Jimmy Leon Huff; grandchildren, Jackie McLean, Dennis Hackler, Jeff Brown, Natalie Griffin, Wendy Kay Duvall, T.J. Stewart, Scott Allen Stewart, Billy D. Hale and DeAnn Hale; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Huff, Tinsley Huff, Scott Stewart, T.J. Stewart, Jeff Brown and Dennis Hackler.

Charles Wayne Thomas

Charles Wayne Thomas, 68, of Dallas passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2002 in a Tyler hospital.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Dawson Cemetery with the Rev. James Hooper officiating.

Mr. Thomas was born June 19, 1933 in Dawson. He was a third generation Dawson resident, but had lived in the Dallas area off and on since 1974. He received his B.B.A. degree from Sam Houston State and master's degrees from Houston and SMU. He had worked in the field of education for 40 years and was principal at Hubbard High School from 1972 to 1974. He was a member of Hubbard Lions Club. He was a dedicated family man and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee and Mary Lois Miller Thomas.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Betty Thomas of Dallas; sons, Tommy Lee Thomas of California and Allen Thomas of Colorado; daughter, Mariann "Mickey" Craddock of New Braunfels; brothers, Dan Thomas of Crosby and Tommy Thomas of Houston; sister, Barbara Lujan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and grandson, Arthur Thomas of Colorado.

Harold Glyn Shull

Services for Harold Glyn Shull, 75, of Deport are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Deport with the Rev. Ted Willis officiating.

Burial is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home of Deport.

Mr. Shull died July 21, 2001, in Dallas.

He was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Navarro County to Giles Perry and Una Scroggins Shull.

Mr. Shull worked for Mobil Oil Company for 17 years. He owned and operated White Auto Supply in Jacksonville and retired from the Texas Forestry Service in 1988. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Deport.

He was preceded in death by a sister, LaMoine Young.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Nell Ham Shull of Deport; sons and daughters-in-law, Geary and Carol Shull of Shreveport, La., and Randy Gene and Velma Shull of Alma, Ark.; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Charles Michie of Marble Falls; sisters, LaRue Killingsworth and Laverne Coker, both of Athens; brother, J.P. Shull of Bedford; grandchildren, Geary Glyn Shull Jr., Charlie Shull, Kimberly Shull, Catlin Michie, Nathan Michie and Travis Michie; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.

Services for Peggy Joyce Fields, 65, of Trinidad were held Jan. 19 at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana with the Rev. John Wakeham officiating.

Burial followed at Mankin Cemetery in Trinidad under the direction of Corley Funeral Home of Corsicana.

Mrs. Fields died Jan. 17, 2002, in Athens.

She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Purdon.

Mrs. Fields was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lee and Mabel Smith; and husband, Raymond Long.

Survivors include her brother, Raymond Smith of Trinidad; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Ray Stibbins of Malakoff and Vickie and John Willard of Trinidad; grandchildren, Lesha and Samuel Austin of Eustace, Roberts Faires of Trinidad, Amanda Duncan of Trinidad, Latisha Stibbens of Malakoff, Laressa Stibbens of Malakoff, Ashley Willard of Trinidad and John Willard Jr. of Trinidad; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Evalyn Jane Johnson

Memorial services for Evalyn Jane Johnson, 89, of Tool were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002, with the Rev. Ron Holldemen officiating. Cremation services were under the direction of Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home of Kemp.

Mrs. Johnson was born on Oct. 20, 1912, in Purcell, Okla., the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Counts Brown and passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2002, in Corsicana. She was married to Edgar c. Johnson on May 19, 1958, in Winterhaven, Calif., and he preceded her in death on March 21, 2000.

Survivors include daughter, Kathie Habeltof of Tool; granddaughter, Kristie Scherbak and her husband Bill of Lake Tahoe; great-grandchildren, Davin and Zackery Scherbak of Lake Tahoe; as well as many friends, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Ms. Ward was born March 15, 1985 in Dallas.

Emerald Nicole Ward

Emerald Nicole Ward, 17, of Kerens passed away Friday, April 5, 2002 in Kerens.

Services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Kerens with Rev. Earnest Betts, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Samaria Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Emerson Ward, Jason Ward, Terrance Ward, Carl Ward, Brandon Williams and Deon Ward.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Bivins, Sr., Michael Palafox, Eddie Serna, Robert Martinez, Andy York and friends.

Ms. Ward was born March 15, 1985 in Dallas. She was a junior at Kerens High School and employed at V.F. Factory Outlet Mall.

She is survived by her mother, Frankie Lamb of Kerens; her father, Emerson Ward, Jr. of Kerens; brother Jason Ward of Kerens; maternal grandmother Martha Malone of Corsicana; maternal grandfather Jim Kliever of Fairview, Okla.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Helen Owens, 76, of Frisco passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002 in Plano.

Services pending with Corley Funeral Home. Interment will be at Younger Cemetery.

Mrs. Owens was born July 29, 1925 in Navarro County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wylie Owens.

Mrs. Owens is survived by son Billy Jackson Owens, Sr. and wife Carol Ann of Mesquite; sister Mary Malone of New Braunfels; grandson Billy Jackson Owens, Jr. and granddaughter Cindy Rackler, both of Mesquite; and great-grandson Billy Jackson Owens III and great-granddaughter Amber Michelle Rackler, both of Mesquite.

John "Butch" Hamrick

John 'Butch' Hamrick, 72, of Richland passed away Sunday, April 7, 2002 in Corsicana.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Shane Ray, Chris Ray, Scott Huston, Sam Huston, Jonathon Huston and Josh Davis.

Mr. Hamrick was born Aug. 21, 1929 in Spindale, N.C. He spent 12 years in Juneau, Ala. doing his favorite thing, fishing for halibut. He retired as the maintenance supervisor at the University of Alaska. He moved to Pisgah Ridge in 1993, where he liked to grow his garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Hamrick is survived by his wife of 51 years, Coleen Hamrick; daughters Patricia Liss and husband Tom of Anchorage, Ala., Brenda Davis and husband Ed of Richland, and Kathy Huston of Richland; nephew Don Johnson of Saginaw; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Thelma (Martin) Caskey

Thelma Caskey, 95, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002 in Olney.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Corley Funeral Home with Rev. B.F. Risinger officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.

Mrs. Caskey was born Oct. 4, 1906 in Cleburne. She was a resident of Navarro County for 91 years. She was active in many church and civic activities. She was a member of Eastern Star and served as Past Worthy Mason. She worked in real estate and was employed by the City of Corsicana for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for more than 50 years.

She was preceded in death by husband E. M. Caskey, infant daughter Jean Carolyn Caskey and daughter Doris Caskey Hooker.

Mrs. Caskey is survived by daughter Jan Myers and husband Al of Olney; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Frances P. (McCarter) Coleman

Frances P. Coleman, 92, passed away Friday, April 5, 2002 in Corsicana.

Services were 4 p.m. Monday at Midlothian Cemetery with Judy Hundley officiating.

Mrs. Coleman was born May 26, 1909 in Waxahachie to James Henderson McCarter and Mary Alan Gould. She had been a resident of Corsicana five years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny Pearcy and Pat Coleman.

Survivors include her nephew, H. A. Dellis and wife Ann of Temple, Ariz.; niece, Jerry Wheat of Georgetown; and great-nieces, Mary Jane Plemons and husband Weldon of Corsicana and Sue Wheat of Georgetown.

Mrs. Nealy was born Sept. 22, 1916 in Navasota. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ for many years.

James Ernest Stokes

James Ernest Stokes, 90, of San Angelo and formerly of Corsicana, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Pattison Cemetery with Russell Bankes officiating.

Mr. Stokes was born Jan. 30, 1912 in Ballinger to Eugene Stokes and Ida Stokes. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a former Navarro County tax assessor and collector and longtime farmer and rancher in Navarro County.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Andrew Stokes.

Mrs. Whittenberg was born Feb. 13, 1907 in Corsicana to Gus Thompson and Lois Flovin Thompson. She was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone where she worked as an operator.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, G.W. Hamlett of Corsicana, Joan Boswell of Montgomery, Camille Foretich and Jimmy Thompson, both of Mississippi, and Jake Spivey, Bill Thompson, Kenny Thompson and Randy Thompson, all of Houston.

Mrs. Baker was born Oct. 26, 1910. She worked at J.C. Penney as a seamstress.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Baker, Tim Skeene, Richard Skeene, Dale Henning, Taylor Carpany and Jerry Richards.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by grandson Jeff Skeene, brothers Alford Richards and Elbert Richards and daughter-in-law Geneva Baker.

Stella Williams Funeral Services Held Last Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Stella M. Chandler Williams, age 92, of Jewett were held on Friday, April 5, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Jewett. Mrs. Williams died on April 3, 2002, in Corsicana.
Mrs. Williams was born on December 25, 1909 in Farrar. She had lived in Farrar and Jewett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jewett. A housewife, she was a member of the Texas Extension Education Association for over 50 years. She graduated from high school at Farrar.
She is survived by her brother, Alton H. Chandler and wife, Juanita, of Mexia; nephews, Weldon Chandler and wife Nellie, of Baytown and Wayne Chandler and wife, Kathy, of Ashdown, Arkansas; niece-in-law, Ora Belle Chandler of Sweeney; niece, Lorine Mitchell and husband, Albert, of Pasadena; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Emma Hunter of Jewett.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Williams.
Bro. James Engle, pastor of First Baptist Church of Jewett, and Bro. Billy Bob Evans, pastor of Marquez Baptist Church, officiated at the funeral services.
Active pallbearers were Joe Grubbs, Johnny Dell Foley, Tommy Johnson, Roy Hunter, Bill Hughes, Kenneth Isbell, Ricky Enyart, Eldon Rich. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Estep, Don Willingham, Bro. Music, Johnny Patterson, Gne Harris, Jack Bottoms.
Interment was in the New Hope Cemetery.

Nell Chandler, 39, of Eureka passed away Sunday, April 14, 2002 at her residence.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. Tom Connally officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.

Colena (Copeland) Norwood Payne
1916 - 2002

Colena Copeland Norwood Payne, 85, of Bowie, passed away Monday.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Corley Funeral Home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery in Retreat.

Mrs. Payne was born in 1916 in Kerens. She grew up in Pursley and graduated from Dawson High School. In 1937 she married Navarro County native Miller Norwood, a long-time salesman for Stewart Motors, who died in 1963. In 1970 she married former schoolmate John Charles "Jay" Payne, who was retired from a Dallas electrical supply business. The couple lived in Dallas and Tyler prior to returning to Corsicana. Following Mr. Payne's death in 1992, Mrs. Payne moved to Bowie.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Wade, of Bowie; son, Larry Norwood, of Austin; step-daughter, Sally Luoma of Cedar Hill; stepson, John Payne, of Dallas; sister, Jane Jones, of Tyler; grandchildren, Allyson Rhone, of Wichita Fallas, Justin Wade of Lewisville, Chance Wade, of Bowie, Heather Norwood, Mike McLane, Sheila Rigelsky and Cindy Hartner, all of Dallas, Adam Norwood, of Austin, Kathleen Gersch, of Newcastle, WA, and Allison Cansler, of San Antonio.

Martha Louise Anderson, age 79, of Austin, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2002. She was born on February 27, 1923, in Purdon, Texas, to Walter E. and Lula Thompson Pearson. Martha was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She raised her children in a loving, Christian atmosphere. There were many times she had to be mother and father to Sharon and Andy, due to Bill's Air Force commitments. She was dedicated to them during their formative years, and always there when they arrived home from school. She loved gardening and being outdoors. Thirty-one years of her life was spent as a military wife, with many hours devoted to Air Force Family Services programs. Martha was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her sisters, Eunice Pearson, Olivia "Pat" Grissom, and Mary Elizabeth "Bob" Lumpkin. She is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Anderson, daughter, Sharon Haslund; son, William (Andy) Anderson Jr.; her four grandchildren, Jasen Haslund, Jenny Haslund, Drew Anderson, Osten Anderson; three brothers, Travis Pearson, Edwin Pearson, Wayne Pearson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at the Cook- Walden Rockwood Lane Funeral Home, 7811 Rockwood Lane, Austin, Texas. Funeral Services For Mrs. DOSSER Held in Corsicana

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy M. DOSSER, 93, route 1, Kerens, who died in a Corsicana hospital Saturday, were held in that city Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.

The services were conducted by the Rev. E. F. BOHNFALK, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. DOSSER had resided in the Kerens community most of her life. She was born on March 28, 1864.

Surviving are four sons, Albert H. DOSSER of Corsicana, Charles A. DOSSER of Palestine, Louise E. DOSSER of Athens, and Willie M. DOSSER of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Luther CARROLL of Kerens; three sisters, Mrs. H. B. HOOKER of Roane; Mrs. Herman GARLITZ of Moran, and Mrs. A. L. ANDREWS of Corsicana; two brothers, W. H. BROWN of Corsicana; and S. H. BROWN of Powell, and twenty-five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
