Edward Bator
Feb 27, 1970 - Jan 23, 2022
Edward
Bator, Age:51
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of
Edward Michael Bator (Addison, Texas), who went to be
with the Lord on January 23, 2022. Eddie was 51 years
old.
Eddie was born on February 27, 1970, to Mary Jo and
Edward D. Bator in Wayne County, Michigan and moved to
Corsicana, Texas, when he was nine years old. When he
was ten, God brought a sweet couple into Eddie's life:
Peggy and Terry Moore. The Moores showered abundant care
on Eddie, and he deeply mourned Peggy's death in 2019.
Eddie attended Corsicana High School, where he was a
member of the tennis team. He was extremely proud of
winning the state tennis championship with his doubles
partner John Nelson. After graduating in 1988, he was
awarded the Collins Scholarship and began college at The
University of North Texas. While at UNT, Eddie joined
the fraternity Sigma Nu. His Sigma Nu brothers were
travel partners in skiing, golf, and life. They
maintained an important presence in his life, always
available for support in times of joy and sorrow.
After graduating with a degree in Accounting in 1993,
Eddie went on to also attend the Southern Methodist
University Executive Management Program in 1997.
In 1999, Eddie and Holly were introduced by mutual
friends Patty and Wes Steely. Eddie and Holly married in
2000 and had three children: Zoe, Seth, and Payne. They
were witness to the power of God's redemption in their
marriage. Eddie was a force of nature, determined to
provide for his family, who meant more to him than
anything else in the world. He was endlessly proud of
Zoe, Seth, and Payne.
Eddie belonged to Willow Bend Church, where he was
involved in Celebrate Recovery, Life Group, and Bible
Study. His love of the Lord was evident in his daily
walk and his compassion for others. Eddie loved good
music, good friends, and a good round of golf. A master
of the dad joke, his wit and sense of humor both
delighted his friends and embarrassed his children.
Eddie was a devoted supporter of Michigan football, had
a love/hate relationship with the Dallas
Cowboys, and was a force to be reckoned with on Twitter.
Anyone who knew Eddie was touched by his kindness, his
humor, and his willingness to have an open ear and open
heart for whoever needed him.
Eddie was preceded in death by Peggy Moore and his
mother Mary Jo. Eddie is survived by his wife Holly, his
children, Zoe, Seth, and Payne, as well as his father
and stepmother, Ed and Donna Bator and sisters Lori
Bator Owens and Stephanie Bator George.
Eddie loved fiercely and deeply and we take comfort in
knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of the
Lord.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be
no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old
order of things has passed away. - Revelation 21:4 |

Peter Bailey Wilkinson, Sr.
Jan 1, 1948 - Jun 15, 2021
Well,
Pete finally retired..he passed away at home peacefully
June 15, 2021 .. on his own terms. After he had
completed his morning reports, of course. A lifelong
Midlander, he was born in Longview, Texas January 1,
1948, to Clark and Annette Wilkinson. He graduated from
Midland High School in 1965. Shortly after, to the
chagrin of his parents, he eloped to Juarez, Mexico to
marry the love of his life, Barbara Moore, to whom he
was lovingly married for 44 years. He graduated from
Texas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in
Petroleum Engineering. While he had a long and
successful career in oil and gas, he forbade his three
children from going into the business. Good call? His
unparalleled work ethic was well-known and quite
astonishing. He was humble, hated pretension and did not
suffer fools lightly but had a heart of gold and helped
many along the way. His bark was always worse than his
bite but few had the courage to test that theory. He had
a wonderful sense of humor, inappropriate at times, but
also a real sense of responsibility to those he loved.
He was adored by his family and found his greatest joy
in spending time with his grandchildren. He was
brilliant, funny, generous, unconventional and one of a
kind. He will be missed beyond measure.
He was preceded in death by his parents and beautiful
bride Barbara Wilkinson.
He is survived by Peter Wilkinson Jr. and wife, Teresa
of Lubbock, TX Paul Wilkinson and wife Samantha of
Dallas, TX and Katie Watson and husband Benton of
Granbury, TX. Eight grandchildren, Katlin, Casey, Drew,
Madison, Bailey, Jae, Piper, Ben, and one great grandson
Levani. Two sisters Susan Clark Wilkinson Davis of
Albuquerque, NM and Julie Tout of Granbury, TX and a
multitude of nieces and nephews. Lastly his ever-present
and spoiled rotten, bird dog, Rose.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday,
June 22, 2021 at First United Methodist Church Chapel in
Midland. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle
& Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online

Stephen Allen
Holditch, Dr.
Oct 20, 1946 - Aug 9, 2019
Dr.
Stephen Allen Holditch, Texas A&M Class of '69 of College Station, TX died on August 9, 2019, surrounded
by his dearest loved ones. He was 72 years old. A visitation will from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Tuesday, August
13, 2019, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, 3001 South College Avenue. Life Tribute Celebration will be at 1
pm, Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at A&M United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the Memorial
Cemetery of College Station - Aggie Field of Honor.
Steve is survived by his wife, Ann of College Station, TX, his daughter Katie Holditch (Class of '97) of The
Woodlands, TX and his daughter Abbie Walsh and son-in-law Kenn (both Class of '01) of College Station,
TX. The light of Steve's life was his five grandchildren, whom he adored and loved taking to Disney
World and the beach. Katie's boys are Stephen (Class of '21) and Jackson Rowe of The Woodlands, TX and Abbie's
three children are Kyle, Ashlea and Georgia Walsh of College Station, TX. Steve's surviving siblings are
Damon Holditch, Diane Holditch Barber and Jerry Holditch. His closest friend, Mike Klahn, is Ann's first cousin.
Steve loved all of his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve also doted on his beloved Labrador, Ellie. His
parents, Damon and Margie Holditch, precede Steve in death.
Steve was the second son born to Damon and Margie on October 20, 1946 in Corsicana, TX. Steve moved several times as a child and teenager as his father pursued a career in the oil and gas industry. He lived in San
Antonio, TX for his first three years of high school, so that city and it's rich history always held a special place in his heart. Steve graduated from Richardson High School in Richardson, TX in 1965. After graduating from
high school, Steve joined the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and began his journey as an Aggie. While in the Corps in outfit F-1, Steve was a Ross Volunteer and was on the Ross Volunteer Firing Squad, and by his senior year was
Second Battalion Commander. Steve received his B.S. in 1969, a M.S. in 1970 and Ph.D. in 1975 all in Petroleum Engineering. Steve joined the Texas A&M Faculty in 1976. He taught 97 courses and served on more than 175
graduate committees.
Steve was the Head of the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M from 2004-2012. He was named a Texas A&M Distinguished Alumnus in 2014, and in April of 2016, he was inducted into the Corps of
Cadets Hall of Honor, which made him prouder and happier than almost any other award he ever received. Steve was a season ticket holder for a variety of Texas A&M sports throughout the years, but Fightin' Texas Aggie Football
and Kyle Field were closest to his heart. There was nothing he loved more than giving back to the university he adored and credited for much of his success, and when he was named a Distinguished Alumnus he said, "You will
look back at your years at Texas A&M as one of the best periods in your life. Your classmates will be lifelong friends, so keep in touch with them and the university as your career takes you to various parts of the world.
Always remember the Aggie Code of Honor."
Professionally, Steve Holditch had no equal. In 1976, he started his consulting company, S.A. Holditch & Associates and the company thrived and innovated all over the world for over 20 years. S.A. Holditch &
Associateshad a worldwide reputation for being able to solve the most difficult petroleum engineering problems. After selling the company to Schlumberger in 1997, Steve was a Schlumberger Fellow for five years and traveled
stateside and internationally as a consultant and member of several professional boards. Steve was elected to the National Academy of Engineering, the highest honor that can be given to an engineer, in 1995 at the age of 49.
Steve served as President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) in 2002 and was honored with three of the SPE's top technical awards, including the Legends of Hydraulic Fracturing Award, which he received in 2014.
He was elected as an SPE Honorary Member in 2006, the highest honor that SPE presents to an individual.
Steve was loved and will be missed terribly by his family, friends and so many people in Bryan/College Station and all over the world.
Our dad's last request, in lieu of flowers, was that Memorial Donations be given to "The Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering general scholarship fund or to A&M United Methodist Church" |

With
heavy hearts we sadly announce the death of our beloved
husband and father, Ralph Maurice Vaughn of Corsicana,
who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 84.
Dad started life as a country boy, who was raised in

that only living on a farm can provide. His experiences
led him to his calling of becoming an educator. In 1956,

he was able to enjoy the looks and feel of the country,
while overseeing a newly acquired sandpit, building a
family cabin for get togethers and maintaining the
pastures and land at the "home place", named Bar One
Ranch. He worked hard, but also made time to enjoy his
family.
Dad will be remembered for his quiet, yet friendly
spirit, with a humble servant heart, a devoted husband,
a loving grandfather to his many grand and great grand-
children. He will be forever remembered as "Paw- Paw"
Ralph.

"We Would Like to Stroll Over Heaven With You"
If I'd survey all the Beauty
That comes to me from above,
And would I count all the Blessings, From out of the store
house of love
I's simply ask for a favor of him
Beyond mortal care.
I'm sure He'd grant it again up there.
We want to stroll all over Heaven
With you some glad day.
When all our troubles and heartaches and sorrows, have truly
vanished away.
There we'll enjoy all the beauty where all things are new,
We want to stroll all over Heaven with you.
So many places of Beauty we long to see here below.
But time and treasures have kept us from making plans you
know.
But comes that morning of rapture together we'll stand anew.
And then we'll stroll all over Heaven with you.

Roger Elloise Travenia
Jun 2, 1935 - Jan 25, 2023
Roger
Elloise Travenia began his journey of life on June 2,
1935, in Rita, Texas, the second child of eight born to
Mattie Lee Jones and Tola Travenia. He passed quietly at
his home in Rice, Jan. 25, 2023, at the age of 87.
Roger started working at an early age on his parent's
farm milking cows, riding horses, raising chicken and
4H pigs, tinkering on equipment and a variety of other
things. He had a playful nature and along with his
siblings often they got into harmless mischief. His
parents, for example, would travel to town in their
horse drawn wagon for supplies and the kids would have a
'party' - frying several of the yard chickens, making
ice cream and burying chicken feathers so their parents
wouldn't know. On the farm he was always trying to fix
things. His parents moved to Littlefield, where Roger
graduated from Littlefield High School, married Ruby
Jewell Johnson and they eventually moved to Lubbock. As
a young adult in Lubbock, his entrepreneurial ambition
surfaced twofold with the Travenia Shell at Broadway and
Avenue A and the Thunderbird Club. His family with Ruby
were blessed with five children - Norma, Geral, Roger
Jr., Loretha, and Melroy. Roger was affiliated with the
Greater St. Luke Baptist Church working as an usher and
driving the church bus. He also did the maintenance on
vehicles for the church. A few years after his divorce,
he relocated to Lansing, Michigan where his younger
brother Tola lived and they both worked for General
Motors, Oldsmobile Division.
On Juneteenth and his brother Ray's birthday - Roger
remarried on June 19th, 1976, to Paula Jean Mackey from
Columbus, Ohio, making Lansing their home. He adopted
Rochelle Mackey, bringing his total children to six. His
entrepreneurial spirit took the form of real estate in
Michigan, owning houses and a small apartment building.
This kept him busy even after he retired in September
1990 from General Motors. Not one to sit around, he was
in the bowling leagues with his brother Tola and won
several trophies - he and his friends would often unwind
at the local Black 'n' Tan Bar.
Upon returning to Texas in 1998, Roger and Paula settled
on a small ranch in Rice, Texas raising cattle. Until
health issue became a problem, the ranch held an annual
barbecue for family and friends attracting folks near
and far. Roger and Paula are members of Mt. Olive
Missionary Baptist Church in Corsicana.
Knowing how things worked was his main passion and he
was always repairing and fixing "things" -it didn't
matter if it had a motor or not. He treasured his 1954
Chevrolet Belair 2-door car that he nicknamed "Betty
Sue" and showed it off whenever he could. It wasn't
uncommon for someone to call from some other area in
Texas or out-of-state asking his opinion about some car
problem they were having. He'd listen, give his
diagnosis, and he was usually right - that's how good he
was mechanically. Taking after his father and brother
Ray, Roger was quite good at gardening, his second
passion. He also enjoyed music, movies and telling jokes
and giving people nicknames. In his youthful days he was

nickname of some type. Traveling and keeping in touch

'tag-along' passenger on these trips included their
granddaughter, Alexandria.
