Hill, Purdon, husband of the former Miss Helen Grisby.  Entered service, 1940, trained with Army.  Has served at Naples-France-Rhineland and Central Europe, discharged, wounded, 1944.  Has 5 Bronze Stars, Purple Heart, Good Conduct, and American Defense Ribbons.

Martin, graduate of Yeandon High School and Univ. of Ala.  Entered Naval Air Corps, 1942, received wings Feb., 1943, trained at Philadelphia, Pa., Corpus Christi, Norfolk, Va.  Has served in Kaveing Kwajalein, Engehi, Truk, Tinian, Okinawa now on duty on Essex Carrier.

HILLIARD, BILLY H.
A/S Billy Hillard, son of Mrs. M. K. Hilliard, graduated from Kerens High School, May, 1942.  Enlisted in Navy Nov., 1942, trained at Dallas, Texas and graduated from V-12 Engineering with Honors.  Now enrolled in Naval Engineering Dept., Notre Dame, Indiana.
HILLIS, HUE L.
S/Sgt. Hue L. Hillis, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Hillis, Dawson, graduate of Dawson High School.  Entered Air COrps Jan 1, 1942, trained at Selfridge Field, Mich., and Farmingdale.  Long Island Flying as Crew Chief with the 348th Fighter Group of a P-47, crew know as "Okies of the Air Force," has served in 13 locations of the South Pacific, now on duty in Luzon.

Pvt. Roy R. Hines, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Hines, Kerens, husband of the former Miss Lonia Bridges.  Entered Army, 1944, trained at Ft. Bliss, Oklahoma.  Has served in Philippines, now on duty at General Hospital, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.

Coy Hinkle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hinkle, husband of the former Miss Elemerene Garrison, attended Blooming Grove Schools.  Was in Army from 1936-39.  Reenlisted in 1943, trained with Army at Ft. Sam Houston and Camp Barkley.  Served in England and France.  Now in General Hospital, France.  Wears good Conduct Medal, 2 Battle Stars, Pre-Pearl Harbor and Theater Ribbon.

Beening, Sam Houston, Wolters and Shelby.  Served in Panama, France, Germany, Austria, and is now in France.  Wears Pre-Pearl Harbor Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon and Theater Ribbon.

Cpl. Wilmer D. Hodge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hodge of Navarro, entered service in 1941, trained in Texas and overseas.  Now in Germany.  Wears overseas Ribbons and Good Conduct Pin.
