Lt. G. J. Saveriano, son of Mr. and Mrs. Saverian, New Jersey.  Wife is the former Margaret Burge.  Entered service, 1943.  Trained at Corsicana, Waco, Victoria and Arizona.  Now on duty at Victorville, Calif.
 
SAWYER, J. E.
CSF J. E. Sawyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Sawyer, Dawson. Entered service 1942, training at Rhode Island with Navy. Served in Australia, New Guinea. Now in Philippines.

2nd Lt. Ralph H. Sawyer, son of Mrs. Willie R. Sawyer, Corsicana, graduated from Richland High School. Entered the Army in 1942, training at Camp Wolters, Camp Adair, Oregon, and Camp Carson, Colo. Served in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Awarded the Purple Heart, Silver Star, Oak Leaf Cluster, and inf. Combat Badge. Wounded in 1944 and 1945.

Lt. Jerry S. Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Scott, Sr., Frost. Wife is the former Richie Ripley. Frost High School Graduate. Attended A & M. Entered service, 1941, trained with Navy Air Corps at Corpus Christi. Served in Pacific Theater and in Hawaii.

Schafranka, Embudo, New Mexico.  Received primary flight training at Corsicana Air Field, received wings from Blackland Field at Waco.  Sent to Italy Dec., 1943, made 50 missions over Italy, France, Yugoslavia, Austria, Bulgaria, Germany as pilot of B-24 Liberator.  Received Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal and five Oak Leaf Clusters and Unit Citation.

Pvt. Paul R. Schultz, son of Mrs. Gertrude Fuller, graduate of State Home.  Entered service, 1943, trained with Cavalry at Ft. Riley, Kansas and Ft. Knox, Ky., where he is now on duty.
