ARTHUR J. KEENEY
Sgt. Arthur J. Keeney attended Albion College, Mich., and Northwestern Univ., Ill.  Entered service in June 1943, with airborne training, Ft. Benning, Ga.  Assigned to 104th (Timberwolf) Inf. Div. Col. F, 414th Inf. Served in Cherbourg, Frances, European Theater of Operations, First Canadian Army Low Countries Campaign Div. restaged to U.S. First Army for Siegfried Line Cam. Wounded in Holland and Germany.  Received Purple heart with Cluster, Bronze Star for Heroism, for Meritorious Service Cluster, Combat Inf. Badge.  Discharged September 1945.  Married to former Gioia Passarelli of Muskegon, Michigan.

GEORGE ALLEN KELT
George Allen Kelt, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kelt of Chatfield.  Entered the U.S. Army in December 1943.  Stationed at Camp Blanding, Florida, where he served as Supply Sgt. until his discharge in December 1945.

JULIUS J. (BUD) KELT, JR.
S/Sgt. Julius J. (Bud) Kelt, Jr., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jules Kelt, Sr. of Chatfield.  Married to the former Patricia Martin.  Served in the U.S. Marine Corps from April 13, 1944 to April 12, 1948.  Received his boot training at San Diego, Calif. and received schooling in radio-radar-electronics in Chicago, Ill., Clarksville, Ark., and Corpus Christi, Texas.  He was valedictorian of the Corpus Christi class.  Graduate of Texas.

WILLIAM CHARLES KERBY
S/Sgt William Charles Kerby, son of Burney and Lowis Kerby.  Married the former Mary Jane Phillips.  Entered service March 8, 1942.  Attended aircraft schools.  Served in the South Pacific.

Col. Daniel Henry Kiber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kiber of Corsicana.  Husband of the former Annis Walton of San Antonio.  Graduate of Corsicana High School and Texas A. & M.  Re-entered the service for active duty in 1942, after serving in World War I.  Served 4 years in Utah, Ohio, Calif. and overseas in England, Belgium and Germany.

Carolina Univ., and Univ. of Houston.  Entered the Sea Bees branch of the service and was sent to Fiji Islands.  Husband of the former Margaret Towle of Concord, North Carolina.

Cpl. Hilda Elbourn King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Elbourn of Bovingdon, Herts, England.  Married to Charles King of Corsicana.  Entered His Majesty's Service on October 9, 1942 in the Auxiliary Territorial Service.  Served in Head Quarters Company Ordnance Depot, Old Dalby Leicestershire, England, until the end of hostilities.

Byron B. Kirby, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Kirby of Chatfield.  Drafted February 11, 1942, training at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and Mojave Desert, Calif.  Served overseas as a Tank Crewman of the 7th Armored Div. in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany.  Discharged August 22, 1945.

John H. Kirby, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Kirby of Chatfield.  Attended Chatfield School.  Entered the U.S. Air Force October 16, 1940, training at March Field, Calif.  Stationed in England with the 8th Air Force. Discharged October 28, 1945

CHESTER E. KNOTT
Chester E. (Eddie) Knott, son of Will and Rosie Knott of Rice.  Attended Rice School. Entered service with U.S. Army in 1940, serving with the 36th Division.  Received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.  Discharged in 1945.

FRED KUPPER
S/Sgt. Fred Kupper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Kupper of Blooming Grove, was a member of the Ferrying Service of U.S. Air Force, flying high-octane fuel over "The Hump" between China and Burma. One of the ferrying missions his plane exploded, killing entire crew.  A memorial stone was placed in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove honoring Fred. KILLED IN ACTION

TRACY KUPPER
Tracy Kupper, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Kupper of Blooming Grove, served in the U.S. Army as a member of the Military Police with Criminal Investigative Unit after his training.  Sent to Yokohama, Japan serving duration of war.  Entered service in 1944.

WALLACE LANGSTON
Cpl. Wallace Langston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amzie Langston of Chatfield.  Husband of the former Tressie L. Lacy of Tyler.  Entered the U.S. Army in Sept. 1944, training at Ft. Lewis, Washington and was sent to Camp Shanks, N.Y. Attached to the 10th Air Force, serving in Calcutta, India, Burma, China.  Served as a warehouse foreman with the 4294th Quarter master Railhead Co. in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations.  Served as mail clerk.
ELMORE LANSFORD
Cpl. Elmore Lansford of Richland served in the U.S. Air Force upon induction in 1943.  Trained at Camp Wolters, Mineral Wells and Sheppard Field, Wichita Falls.  Served at Yuma, Ariz., and Rantoul, Illinois. Discharged in 1945.
ROOSEVELT LATHEN
Pvt. Roosevelt Lathen, son of Porthane Lathen of Kerens.  Husband of the former Pearl Green.  Attended Navarro County School.  Entered the Army December 1942, training at Ft. Riley, Kansas, Ft. Custer, Michigan. Discharged arch 1944.
ROBERT M. LAVENDER
Major AUS Robert M. Lavender, son of Thomas Headlee and Martha Bessie Lavender.  Husband of the former Lucille Eliot.  Attended Texas University. Entered service June 11, 1941, training at Ft. Bliss. Served with the Atlanta Ord. Dep Base Shop.  Honorably discharged Dec. 15, 1945.
VANCE LAVERTY
Pvt. Vance Laverty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Laverty.  Husband of the former Audrey Littlejohn of Frost. Inducted into the service September 24, 1942. Received an honorable discharge on December 22, 1942, because of poor health.
